The Idol Whose Smile Disappeared (笑顔を消したアイドル Egao o Keshita Aidoru) is the 1010th episode of the Detective Conan anime.

Situation
Futoshi Yamasato is just got transfered to Beika Town 4th block police box, when he received a report about dine and dash. However, after arriving at the restaurant, the case have been resolved. The waitress feels that the woman who did dine and dash looks like Kayako Kakurai.
At Mouri Detective Agency, Yamasato tell Kogoro that similar case also happened three months ago when he worked at Haido Town police box.
He also tell the fact that on the day the dine and dash at Haido, there was a DDPP handshake event at Haido City Hall. Kayako Kakurai is so popular at that event, and the other DDPP members starting to get jealous of her. They start bullying her, and as the result, her smile disappered from her face. Currently, Kayako Kakurai is having a hiatus after that incident.
Unfortunately, Kogoro suddenly asleep because he drank too much beer. Later, Ran arrives at home and says that she saw Kayako Kakurai at Beika Park in a van with her manager. Suddenly, Kakurai started to cry. Conan then solve the case using Kogoro's voice.

- This is Masumi Sera's second non-canon episode appearing, althought is a flashback. The first was The Beika City Shopping Center Garbage Bin Mystery.
- Restaurant Danny's Dining and its waitress reappear in this case.
- Kayoko, her manager and her assistant's car is a white Nissan Elgrand, second generation. The license plate is 新宿 301, は 39-56 (Shinjuku 301, ha 39-56).
