Kaoru Nagakawa (長川 薫 Nagakawa Kaoru?) is a Japanese animation director and key animator. She takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography

Kaoru Nagakawa is affiliated with Azeta Pictures[1]. She was first active as an animator in 2006, performing in-between animation for anime series Gintama in episode 8[2]. In February of 2007, she became a key animator for the first time, in episode 43 of Gintama. She was also credited as key animation for episode 11 of My Bride Is a Mermaid, aired in June of the same year. She became an animation director for the first in November 2018, in episode 5 of season 2 of Ace Attorney. She has however continued to remain credited mostly as a key animator.

She started being involved in the production of Detective Conan in 2013, as part of outsourcing studio Azeta Pictures' animation team. She debuted in March 2013, performing key animation in episode 690. She has since continued being active with Azeta Pictures in animating for Detective Conan. In Detective Conan, she was promoted to animation director in early 2019, in episode 929 and has mostly been active as an animation director since, along with Michitaka Yamamoto, among others.
