By shock, the woman noticed Agasa awake and assumed he was listening to their conversation with a glare look. In a sudden, they guy also made a strange line to fly back. It surprised them a lot what those words meant and riding in a dangerous group.
The car have one driver and one passenger. The driver is a women wearing sunglasses and a pink knit cap. The passenger is a dark-skinned man with a stubble beard, a scar on his left eye, wearing a green jacket. He's sleeping due to not getting much last night.


They got on a diner after making their minds. As the two of them with Agasa talked, Ai was excusing herself to go the bathroom where in fact, she was going there to make a call to Conan. Conan was worried and had to go there with his skateboard. He told them to make a "bad" excuse and surely, they are smart enough to uncover the excuse made up by Conan so that they can hide for a while.

Agasa and Haibara hid in the men's bathroom. The man knocked on every stall and asked them to talk. When it was their stall that was coming up, they asked Conan what to do. Conan made another ridiculous idea to have Haibara shout like an adult in the men's bathroom. With a follow-up plan, Conan asked them to escape through the window but seemingly, it was all planned out. The woman was already guarding the outside and the man just came. Conan also made a strange line telling them to just surrender and give up.
Later on, while struck in traffic, the driver asks for Agasa's address. When learning they're living in Beika, the driver also note that they were also going to Beika as well. Specifically to the Mouri Detective Agency. Agasa was going to say that they know the Mouri residences, but was stopped by Haibara. Due to her growing suspicious of the two. Because she spots there are holes created by gunshot, and there were some bloodstrain left on the back seat. Haibara suggested Agasa to pretend sleeping so they can keep and eyes on them in secret.

Uehara was wearing sunglasses because of a black eye, while Yamoto's scar was there for a long time now, but removing the hood show he had head injury from a bullet grazing his forehead. This is caused by a man they arrested the other day, pulling out a hidding gun and start firing when he's in the car. Both injuries were the casualty after they subdued him. This also expained the bullet holes and the leftover blood in their car.

Those were actually refering to botamochi, a Japanese confection made by partially mashing glutinous rice. Hence the word "Hagoroshi". (half-dead) "Minagoroshi" (massacre) then meant it's completely mashed into a mochi. In other word, "it's not the time for "Minagoroshi" (massacre) just yet" mean that it's still away from the new year's. When Japanese people eat mochi. Uehara note that this way of speaking is something Yamato picked up from his grandmother. (who also make the botamochi they're bringing to the detective agency)
