Situation

One day, Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are walking to school, when they notice Sadaharu Nishimura, Masako Ogino, and Yuji Fujioka admiring an expensive watch displayed at Kaneko Jewelry Store. The watch itself is only one of five produced around the world.

After school, they meet Takagi, who is handing out leaflets about robbery around the district. Conan then start thinking about the possibility of the watch being stolen.

The Case of Ayumi's Illustrated Diary 2 is the sequel of this episode.
Kaneko Jewelry Store and its owner, Café Haronbo, and Ogino Produce Store reappear in The Lost Article That Smells Like a Case. The same jewelry store also reappears in My Beloved Dog Pan-kun Is a Good Boy.
Like The Secret of the High Sales, this episode has an element of Red-Headed League from Sherlock Holmes short story.
