Your extreme dedication, not stopping until the job gets done, truly is inspiring, and I don't think you get the recognition you so often deserve. So thank you very much for working so hard with not only updating collectibles, but with all the images and graphic edits you've made to help keep consistency and quality going here on DCW!! It really is noticed and certainly appreciated. :) - Jigsaw 09:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

RE: Ref Links (Manga, MK Chapters, etc.)

The cool thing is that the Ref anime template (on which the Ref manga one is based off) already included a little trick for differentiating links from labels. :) Simply use the "l1=", "l2=", etc... parameters to determine a different label for each link. I made the changes there already. Just a question though. As you know there's already a "Manga source" line in the InfoBox of each anime episode. Doesn't that seem a bit redundant to add it to a Case section on the episode's page as well? I know we did it for manga files but that's because an anime episode is usually a collection of multiple manga files. However, we can't say the same for the other way around: no manga file is a collection of anime episodes. So, I'm just wondering about the use or necessity to have the ref to manga files. I guess the question is: does it add value in the end? I'm not against it though. Just wondering about why/where it could be useful. --Maurice talk 03:48, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Much win in that IMBD link

Ha!

Was gonna create the movie page, but you beat me to the punch, as usual. :P Oh well, you do a better job than I~ CarpetCrawlermessage me 12:08, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Curiosity

They are probably left overs from the same guy who went through a long time ago and added a bunch of "fake" English voice actors for characters who were never in dubs. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 19:26, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Redirects

If you see me restoring deleted pages, it's because I'm redirecting them to the appropriate page. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:22, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

I forgot to tell you the reason I'm doing so it to fix the redirects on other pages that would be red links. It also keeps the edit history intact too. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:40, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Can you take a look at this edit?

I don't remember if Yaiba appears, but it is worth a look because I think you did do the cast. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 01:43, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Re: Feedback on List Format

Thanks! You have good timing, actually, I just finished with the minor anime characters and was contemplating the notables. Out of curiosity, is there a particular case or Volume Generic and/or Arrack feature in, or are they recurrent in the Special Volumes?--Ocianne 03:44, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

DC covers

Is there a method to the DC covers' organization in the Volumes pages? I ask because I'd like to move the Taiwan cover to the end of the list -- the width of the cover puts the caption on two lines, and that messes with the formatting of the subsequent row(s) of covers, adding a lot of white space unless the browser window is wide enough for five covers per row. --Ocianne 07:49, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

I tried rearranging the covers in Volume 1, but the only way to put Chinese directly after Europe without the risk of funky white patches would be to shorten the Republic of China (Taiwan) title to something like "Rep. of China (Taiwan)". Volume 1, at least, already has Korea between China and Europe, and the Chinese Malysian version separated too. Any preferences? --Ocianne 18:50, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

MKspecial6 picture

I am wondering why you are using the smaller size for this picture here. I would have thought the larger size would be preferable, as we haven't standardized episode picture sizes and it gives those hard of seeing or with vision impairments an easier time to have the option of making the image larger, especially when you have a relatively dark picture like that. I know the other MK pictures are the smaller size, but in the case where someone has already uploaded a larger one, it's a bit easier for me at least to view the larger one. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 13:59, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

The pixelation is a jpg compression artifact. There is much less of that when using png. I do think shrinking the image makes it less usable though, if only because it makes things a bit more difficult for those with vision problems. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 01:57, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Deletion Vandal

That guy edited right around those pages I had those big messages on, so either he is malicious or so incompetent he might as well be malicious. Page protection is probably the best route as he seems to be able to pop up new IPs. It's annoying we have to protect at a critical time right now. I've protected most of Sera's pages as he seems to target those over Amuro's but I suppose we could cover both. Thoughts? Chekhov MacGuffin talk 20:38, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

So far there is a two week protect on Volume 73-76, Sera and Sera appearances. I went to the other pages he edited and put a three day short protect on those. It's not long, but considering he hits every day, he'll see his deletions are not wanted without doing too much collateral. We can unblock Sera when spoilers hit if necessary. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:19, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
I missed the bit where they said they didn't like Sera. Where was that? Chekhov MacGuffin talk 00:15, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

People Section

This is a bit of Copy and paste since I asked other members about this earlier without anyone knowing the answer. Have a question concerning the people section. Was taking a second look at the images in the people section to find the wrong image format and add missing ones when I noticed some of the reoccurring characters appearing in the people section as well as character introduction in those episodes.
Eri Kisaki(Ep032) and Shuichi Akai(Ep230-231) first appearances is prime example of this so I first assumed it was because they where suspects/involved/Witnesses in those cases. Then I came upon other incidents like James Black's first appearance(Ep258) where he doesn't appear in the People section but only the character introduction despite being the key character involved in a kidnapping case during his first episode as well as Kogoro Mouri, whom was a murder suspect in (Ep 199) but only appears in the Cast section.
Already checked the Manual of Style for a bit of guidance but couldn't find any answer to this. So just wanted to check with someone more experienced around here exactly what the set standard is for the people section and if a character should be in both the Introduction/Cast section and the people section when they get personally involved in a case or if those other times this has occurred is either mistakes or exceptions due that being their first appearances?
My personal first impression when I found this site was that it was reserved mainly for characters that only makes their appearance in a single/dual episode and couldn't be counted as either Main or reoccurring character.

Larceny target table

The table looks quite nice. Thanks a bunch! Before I screw up your table more though, I have a question and a request. How do you list another item after the first? Also, can you add the option to have a displayed name that does not match the picture name in case the picture is uploaded under a different name? Chekhov MacGuffin talk 04:48, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Edit, it seems your table was cleverer than me. I figured how to stick multiple items together. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 05:04, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
Awesome. TO THE ARTICLE! Chekhov MacGuffin talk 17:57, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Delinking names

I am curious why you are delinking red linked voice actor names in the episode guides. Even if they don't have important roles, you can click the names and see who else they acted in other episodes by clicking "what links here" on the create a page which I thought might be useful to someone. It also would reduce the work someone would do down the line if you had to relink them. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:22, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't fill in all the links, but someone else might. You never know. Filling in red links is only the problem of whoever wants to make it their problem. I like red links because they let people know what they might do at some point. Want me to switch them back for you? Chekhov MacGuffin talk 01:38, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
