Well, IQ tests are supposed to test your intelligence, not your knowledge, so I think those are perfectly fine.

So its varieties of questions are something like pattern recognition, pattern matching, understanding, and situation matching etc... If it asks you stuff that you can get the answer by memorising, then it just tests your memory. :P

I can remember stuff like... erm...

Newton's first law states that

an object with a mass

has a tendency to continue in its state of rest

or motion in a straight line

unless an external force acts upon it.

But I cant remember stuff like...

Year of some XXX event...

When did A-Bomb drop on Hiroshima/ Nagasaki

What is the molecular number of Aluminium or Magnesium...

Compound formula and name of err... Potassium... err dimanganate ... or something??

Examples ^

And I cant remember names very well... :P

I need people to keep repeating them in audio form to remember. :P

So Im ok in physics... but not ok in chemistry.

Oh Im bad with drawing and remembering pictures too... XD

Lol you mean from shows?!!?! XD

My brother is a genius at that. He can remember every single detail. I cant.

My sister can remember every single detail of an artwork.(For example she can remember how the monocle of kid and his uniform is like and what are the colours of the costume and tie and his eye colour ...etc when I just showed her a picture out of the blue one day...o.O) I can't. XD

I wonder how people can do that? >_< I can only remember the general picture.

Honestly, just from DC. Most likely because I'm obsessed~! XD But I'll remember stuff like names of characters (that show up more than once, not those suspects or victims and whatnot), random facts and all that lovely stuff. I'm also good at numbers. Once, Sayuri, her dad and I went to $^#&$&$# to get some truffles for the people we fingerprinted and while they were picking it out, I looked at the prices and noted in my head how they were similarly priced. When the guy at the check out (for some reason) asked what was the price was, I answered a second later, "$4.29". The funny part was, I couldn't remember the royal couple yet I could remember that. :P

LOL... well I could remember numbers if I made an effort. Like telephone numbers and stuff... but if you just mentioned them and I just brushed it away, the next moment I'll totally forget about it. I have extreme short term memory. But I can do stuff like study the day before the exam and remember the details... But ask me after the exam, and I'll forget. :P

I know what you mean.

I memorized both of my parents' phone numbers when I was still a kid.

I also know the birth-dates of every single one of my family members: Mum, Dad, My brother, My sister, my little brother and me. And also my aunt's birthday~!! And not to mention, my cousin's birthday (let's call her cousin 1) and the birth dates of cousin 2, cousin 3 and cousin 4 on the other side of the family.

I learnt all that since when I was younger than 12... except my aunt's birthday. Now that I worked out the year she was born, I know her birthdate too :D

EDIT: Wait, before I forget... Many adults say that I'm very observant. I think that means that I notice things very well?

I think it sort of helps when you are born on a National Day of a country and are named for a symbol of that specific country, I guess.

Lol.... XD you're born on national day? When?

:P speaking of observant... I'm very observant in aspects such as:

Someone cut their hair, changed contacts colour, new clothing new shoes new bag, new handphone cover... Etc...

But I'm super unobservant on this: my books are touched, the amount of money in my wallet... My desktop icons shifted, my CDs etc... :P

I'll give you ONE hint: France XD

Okay that gives out too much... :P

Hmm... that means that you must be very social in order to notice that.

Sometimes I notice things but I don't say anything about them. It's just the way I am.

But I think you will surely notice if:

You came home one day and you see that your books have been rearranged in different orders (Alphabetically or by size) from the way they originally were.

That happened to me once. I got really really angry by what happened. Thought that there were people messing with my privacy.

It turned out that my mother made the helper clean my desk for me.

I rearranged everything to the way it was, after everything happened...

:P I would find out and observe actions of the people around me before I accuse them of taking my money... xPP

I wouldnt know >_<
