How dare you sir! The only samurai movie you have is The Last Samurai! Not only that you have in the anime, a series that is based off of what is arguably one of the GREATEST samurai movies of all time! Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) by Akira Kurosawa.

I really don't know what to say to that... I don't...

In fact, it seems that you are blissfully unaware of one of the greatest directors in history, especially of Samurai movies.

I hereby order you to seek out all works by Akira Kurosawa! GO NOW!

After that you need to check out Zatoichi!

Not ONLY THAT! But you don't put down Bushido, Hagakure or the Book of Five Rings under Samurai books?!

I have watched/read those but I couldn't recall that moment. There are more movies like that great one's ,RAN - 1985, Throne of blood - 1957 by Kurosawa also by him harakiri (seppuku) really awesome ,old but awesome , The film by his rival or you can call him second best director after kurosawa .masaki kobayasi his film samurai rebellion ,I loved the edo-era setting in that movie. there are many more I can't recall all of them right now though.

I'm disappointed by the lack of the anime Samurai X in this topic.

Nevertheless, I want to join ^^

hey I suggested it with whole lot of big list original title is rurouni kenshin.

Chinese knights looked awesome ....

My favourite would be Gintama but I choosed for Kenshin and Gintama :P

I seldom watch samurai animes but i really idolize them...

Because of their amazing fighting skills... ^_^ I also dream of using their sword... :)

You're right, they do have amazing fighting skills :cool:. You should got to Japan if you want to use one so badly :wink:.

It is 1604, four years after the Battle of Sekigahara, perhaps Japan's greatest civil war. The people try to recover from its aftermath and enjoy the newly attained peace. Amid such times Shiina Yuya, a roughneck girl who earns money by capturing outlaws, mistakes a roaming and peace-loving medicine seller Mibu Kyoshiro for the legendary wanted man "Onime-no-Kyo." But she soon realizes that she is wrong when she sees that Kyoshiro is just a weakling. Nevertheless, she ends up capturing Kyoshiro

After a while it gets different But I don't wanna spoil too much.

As a samurai fan and kendo practioner myself i recommend this.

It's sounds cool, I think I'll start watching it !
