According to Detective Koushin, where Heiji and Saguru do meet, the real Hakuba annoys Heiji more than 'Kid as Saguru' does. Personally, in retrospect, I thought the biggest sign that Kid was Hakuba was the fact that he was wearing a polo shirt and blue jeans. We NEVER see Saguru in casual clothes.
