The shooting of the two movies of The Hobbit has begun. Peter Jackson returns as director, producer and script-writer.

Peter Jackson now reveals us his production diary which will last from the beginning of the shooting to the release of the second movie in 2013 (10 years after The Return of the King).

The first entry is now available. We meet the new cast, led by Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins), Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf the Grey) and Andy Serkis (Gollum), and we rediscover some familiar sets (Bag-End, Rivendell).

Welcome back in Middle Earth ten years later !

The second and third entries of the production diary. The second is not really interesting, but the third shows us a lot about the characters (old and new).

I'm now currently boycotting these movies.

Now that's depressing. However, there is a beacon of light, even when all other lights go out? :3

"Neil Gaiman has tweeted his support for us: "I'd not sue, if you named your cafe or pub after something I created & owned. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-17350103 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-15825960 #hobbitfail" Wonderful news :)"
"It seems news of our success has most definitely reached New Zealand, because now the wonderful Ian McKellen (Gandalf) has tweeted his support to us - he has posted an entire page on his website in response! Don't forget to sign the petition if you haven't already! Keep up the marvellous work! :)"

It's a shame Disney really messed with copyright laws, or this wouldn't even be a problem right now, or in the near future.

On the movies, I don't know if I could boycott them outright. Two of my favorite actors are in it. D:
