  1. Greatest part of the internet is that you'll never truly know, but lets go with "yeah" for now. ;)

  2. I would answer you directly, but giving you this link is more fun... http://tinyurl.com/3syrqxz <3

  3. I was graced with a Y chromosome at conception.

  4. Aikido is considered a "soft" throwing martial art. I got a taste of it in HKD (which is sort of a combination of hard and soft throwing arts from Japan and Korea) I learned a few Aikido moves from a friend though... It is a nice choice though :)

  5. Yeah, I know! I think he is the product of a secret cloning project... Has to be... Either that or he is channeling/being possessed by the spirit of Freddie. All I know is that he had better win that contest... There will be no justice if he does not!

  6. I just listened to current Queen Extravaganza vocalist front runner singing Bohemian Rhapsody... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gY4BOw1LVco It's mind blowing how similar he sounds to Freddie.
  7. Every time I see the "I Wish" thread I can't help but think of Negai... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JqNOdx24kc

I wish this were like Facebook so I could like it. And then I'd wish I could like it 50x.

CarpetCrawler, if you could like it more then once, you'd end up breaking the like button. :V

  9. Good vampire movies eh? Lets see... Can't have this list without starting out with Dracula (1931) with Bela Legosi... Next is the Swedish marvel "Let the Right One In." I think I like it even more than Dracula... Then we have "Nosferatu" (I think that was the movie that created the death to light thing) Anime? Never seen Vampire Hunter D movies? Those were pretty good... And how could we forget Hellsing? (Preferably ultimate) In fact... I dare say that Let the Right One In is vampire romance done right. It makes Twilight look like a cheap teen romance that didn't know the first thing about vampires... Wait.... Right... Just go watch those... Lets all forget that Twilight ever happened, yes?
  10. Finally got around to watching High School of the Dead... Series would have been leaps and bounds better if it didn't go out of its way for fan service.

unfortunately i have never watched that

But that would give a large chunk of its fans no reason to watch, then.

So being a good zombie story isn't enough? And I don't mind fan service, but they went OUT OF THEIR WAY for it. If it seems natural its cool, but they tried too hard at times.

  11. So how bad was that indigestion after eating Starscream's Spark? :P

  12. Hey Rainbow Dash! I have an awesome video of/for you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8er83h9Bbn8 <3

  13. I didn't read up... Also I think that was stated in the manga somewhere too, but I can't remember... It was too far back in the beginning.
  14. They used it to case the amusement park. Before it starts going fast it reaches a peak for a few seconds allowing for a good view of the park. That way they are able to see the park, if there are any police and if their target did anything against them. If they are experienced they can case in that amount of time, and I'd expect nothing less from them.
  15. Wing Chun is an awesome martial art. Hopefully you have a good master teaching you, because experiences vary depending on who you have. But it is also a very brutal martial art if you know how to use it.

  16. For the forums there is Tapatalk... As for wiki... Theoretically it shouldn't be TOO hard to make a wiki app for DCW, however, it would still require effort on Maurice's part and he may not have the time to put in such an effort. Controlling this site is probably not his main concern.
  17. Wow... Just wow... G+ has now basically made Skype obsolete with its hangouts... Share documents, Sketchpad, even screens....

Don't feel like changing the settings. No one else I know is, so there's no point in even changing it if I won't use G+.

  18. Hm... I think you missed the point... It was MEANT to be contradictory... Sorry if that was unclear... (Though I think when I wrote it I also intended it to mean that within the DCverse, all those things are extremely realistic) All the movies are extremely unrealistic. My point was that you can't gauge a movie in DC based upon that. If I were to do that, every movie would be utter crap. I can easily find several unrealistic things in each movie when I watch them. M5 was no less realistic than 1-14. The things that were unrealistic about it was merely bigger and easier to notice. Which is why I gauge DC movies on entertainment value, how interesting the plot is, and how much they DON'T annoy me. Well actually that is incorrect.... M13 is by far the most unrealistic and ridiculous movie of the franchise... The rest all take several liberties while making it seem possible. But yeah... I kinda ignore that stuff... It hard to enjoy a DC movie if I'm thinking about what is possible and what is not. If I was doing a review I'd probably point them out, but as for personal enjoyment... I can't factor that in.

    Whistle!

I would assume the name is equal to the title of this thread... A quick google search was able to confirm this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistle!

If it is anywhere near as good as Giant Killing, I'm interested... Will be checking this out.
  21. Oi... I didn't regard the skateboard scene as unrealistic... It was just as realistic as Ran breaking a knife, Conan skateboarding on a rollercoaster, glasses being bulletproof (and then subsequently staying on his face, not to mention the frame not shattering or breaking), a relatively tiny motor on a skateboard being able to keep up with a car, the entirety of movie 6's premise... from the AI to the super advanced game (technically, for the time, that was the most unrealistic movie).... hmm... what else...? I'm sure if I rewatch them I could remember more... But a certain amount of ridiculousness in the movies are expected. But yeah... For the car scene, at least they tried to explain the science behind it, not that they would have survived the impact even while hitting the water at that velocity... From a purely objective standpoint, Conan's glasses being bulletproof is the most unrealistic thing. The skateboard thing and the car thing are both more plausible (surviving is another story, but making the jump on the other hand is not). Remember the destination building was lower and that gave a bit more leeway. I'm not sure the trunk would have provided sufficient surface area to provide drag to do enough acceleration to make it though. Or if they would have survived the shock wave... But yeah... possible deaths are still trumped by M3s bullet proofglasses... Bulletproof glass is extremely thick and could not be fit in the frames of glasses. Conan should have died.

I can't see Gin with a Tommy gun... Not his style... Gin is more of a 1 shot 1 kill kinda guy. Akai is the same way for that matter... People who prefer accuracy tend not to use full auto weapons... If Gin were to use an automatic he'd probably use a burst fire carbine, because those tend to be the most accurate. As for Vodka, I wouldn't trust him with a tommy gun, and I don't think Gin would either... I could totally see Gin snatching it from his hands and saying "Don't use that, you'll get us both caught." As for the Porsche (by the by, that is how it is spelled, I cringed when I saw your spelling of it)... The 356A was first made in 1955-1960 iirc. SO! That is still after the time of the typical Italian gangsters with Tommy Guns. What I would LOVE to see (but hate to see at the same time for different reasons) is Gin getting the new version of the 356 in 2013. An upgrade would be awesome, because it would look pretty much the same with a modern engine. That is unless he has the 356A Carrera (same body, with a racing engine), in which case... damn.... I would have a new respect for Gin if that were the case. As for Shiho... I can totally believe her back story. There have been geniuses who graduated from college as a young teenager. So her being a top scientist for the BO before she is 18 is actually plausible. Also that would be the reason she was sent to America where they more readily allow for rapid upward advancement. The Japanese education system is too uniform for that (hell that was even highlighted in M6). Also as for Shiho and the reason why I have not yet posted in this thread... I agree with what was stipulated before... From a young age she probably showed signs of being a genius where as Akemi did not (though Chek's theory, is also quite plausible, but I don't agree with it and I'll explain for the hell of it). So while Shiho was groomed to be a scientist, Akemi was brought up normally, but still in the BO. However since she did not have any outstanding traits, she never received a code name. While Shiho with her being a top scientist was granted the code name of Sherry. It wasn't that Akemi was a half sister... It seems to me that code names are based upon achievement rather than whether you are in the BO or not. Vodka had to have done something to become the apprentice of Gin or he has certain skills that are useful to Gin and was thus given a code name and placed with Gin as an assistant. Shiho probably didn't get a code name until she proved herself in the lab, because she would have had to compete with several other scientists, and with an org that large, I doubt highly that all of them had code names (there aren't enough alcoholic beverages to allow that unless they start using mixed drinks). Probably only the top or head scientists had code names and the rest were like Akemi.
  23. Why do fools fall in love?
  24. Yeah... Even SHE admitted that her writing is amateurish. The fact that she knows this herself, and yet she is one of the best selling authors of this decade is an insult to real writers, at least I think so. In fact, I am pretty certain that the reason she was published is because her book was good enough and satisfied a certain growing market for vampire romance. Again, I am not arguing my stance on this... There is no point and I have done it too many times before. But please don't think of her as even a fair writer... Her writing style is sophomoric and sloppy. She doesn't know how to write yet. She fulfilled a market at the lowest common denominator of the readership of America. The books were bad, and the movies were worse...
  25. Twilight is horrible... I really don't understand how or why it is popular... Let me go through the list of my personal problems (most knowledge I acquired by watching a riff of the movie).... I tried reading it, and I didn't get far, the sophomoric writing style that Stephanie Meyers employs is disappointing and an insult to any real writer. I have seen better writing on FictionPress.com, and there are probably better writers on fanfiction.net as well. This was such a problem for me, I couldn't make it past the fifth chapter of the book (it would have been second but my friend said she wouldn't talk to me if I didn't continue a bit longer). I have heard she got better with her writing though... But that probably wasn't that great of a feat... Next... Vampires that sparkle? You couldn't invent a new creature instead of using a well established mythical creature and changing EVERYTHING except like 2 aspects of it (superhuman abilities and drinking blood). Seriously, and what annoyed me more is that Meyers apparently doesn't know how to do research because she claimed there was no set standards for vampires... I would have loved to point out the CENTURIES of vampire lore that is completely different from what she wrote. Vampires are apex predators of humans. I can believe there being weird ones that would fall in love with their prey because they are intelligent, but seriously at least keep a few basics, and leave off completely useless traits like sparkling. Next... Vampires in PERPETUAL HS?! REALLY?! I'm pretty certain that any vampire in that situation would find a way to end their life... OR they would hunt in that HS constantly, killing dozens of kids and teachers. Next... Belle's situation is RIDICULOUS! New girl, new school... INSTANTLY POPULAR?! Really...? Even to the point of the school paper doing an article on her? Every guy wanting to be with her, and other girls wanting to be friends with her despite her being the fancy of every boy despite being completely new?! Ugh... Next point of contention... This series sets women's rights back decades... And the guy of her affection is a TOTAL ASSHOLE. Not to mention a creepy stalker... I mean really.... breaking into her house and watching her sleep? HOW IS THAT ROMANTIC IN ANYWAY?! There must be something wrong with girls today if they think that is romantic... That is grounds for a restraining order, not a relationship. Hm... what else...? Oh right... the overall moral of the series is SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE IS BAD! In fact the whole series is built on Mormon morals... You know not on normal morals or normal people's ideas of what relationships should be like... Oh right... and one totally non-complacent girl somehow starting a war between mythological creatures? This series hurts my head... I'm sure there is more, but I think I blocked out most things from my memory except for the major problems... I'll just go ahead and reread Bram Stoker's Dracula for my vampire fix, thank you very much. (PS: I wouldn't try defending this particular series with me, you'll be wasting both your time and mine. I have had that debate a DOZEN times before. Probably 11 times more than I needed because RANDOM fans used to approach me because I apparently looked like the evil vampire from the movie/book)
