DCW IRL Special Anniversary Round: Summer Storm
Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief replied to IdentityUnknown's topic in Chatroom
Amber flipped the newspaper she was holding to the page with the headline news. "...brutally killed........ random...... psychologically unstable... no evidence... no clues... hah..." Amber let out a dry laugh before shutting the newspaper. "People and police nowadays..." *Ringgggggg* Amber picked up the phone. "...Okay. All there? Alright. Let's head off then." She hung up the phone, checked that everything in her bag is packed properly, dropped the paper back onto the shelf and walked away from the arrival hall. ============================= Note: It's thursday. "I figured you might like company while you wait..." Amber heard a voice behind her and turned around to take a look. It was Eli. Sparrow. She took the extra box from her bag and held it out to her. "Eh, it's a tart. Didn't know what you like, so I asked for whatever sells best." "Oh... that's nice." She opened it and guess what!? It was her favorite tart! Awesome. "Hey thanks!" In a couple of minutes, a glasses guy walked up to them raising their hand to say hi. "I'm Abdul, or Aster. I have a bit of fondness for using the word banana in my display names." he said. 'Oh. Banana. This must definitely be...' Amber thought. "AL?" Elizabeth stared for a moment. She cracked her fingers a bit and shook her hand out before holding it out to Aster. "I'm Sparrow, aka too many names to count~" "The pleasure is mine, Ma'am. Nice hair." Abdul said. "You perfectly look like a girl to me. Just curious, what happens to the people who mistake you as a boy?" She cracked her knuckles more loudly. "Oh." He gulped. Amber stood and listened to the conversation in amusement. In a couple of minutes, many others arrived. Amber directed them down to the tarts store and continued waiting at the same place for the next member. ================ (I'll be waiting...) :V -

Sparrow, I don't agree he is too young for love. I personally like it more when people's love lasts since youth, I find stories which begin at a mature age more bland and boring.
Usui-kun, I understand childhood friends don't necessarily have to fall in love, but in my personal opinion if it happens, it's more moving and touching than other stories. What's sad is that most people either hate it or are indifferent, only a few actually like this.

DCW IRL Special Anniversary Round: Summer Storm

"Yep." Amber nodded in agreement, finally deciding to stop staying silent. "We erm... could head to the newly opened branch of Figgy's Tarts downstairs. They sell good fruit tarts there... We could go there and wait until the rest arrived. I'm... I'm not so sure that discussing about a murder case during meals is appetizing... but well... we could decide while eating... So what do you guys say?" Some of them nodded and some shrugged, indicating that they are fine with anything. Amber turned to Jay who seemed to be fine with the idea. "Jay, you know where Figgy's Tarts is don't you? Why don't you bring them down? I'll stay here to wait for the rest of the people." After some discussions, Jay rounded up those already there and brought them all down to the restaurant. Amber sighed. She was left alone, but was kind of relieved because she's not the kind to deal with huge crowds. She started into the arrival hall, wondering if anyone else would be coming. She pulled out her phone and checked the time. It was still early, she would probably have to wait a few more hours for the rest to arrive. In the mean time, she repacked the items in her bag so that they will be more orderly. Packets of tissue, handkerchief, spectacles cleaner cloth, nail clippers, wet tissues, plasters, disposable gloves, hand sanitizers, umbrella, a cap, sun block, moisturizer, lip balm, some pills, a tiny water bottle, mini electric fan, eye drops, portable charger, charging wire, notebook, pens, couple of clips, comb, a mirror, hair band, tiny scissors, swiss army knife, some oil absorbing paper, spare plastic bags, hand soap etc etc... all of this were packed neatly into her one tiny little bag. Amber sighed again, this time... thinking of how she would miss out on her favorite blueberry cheese tart. -
Digimon and pokemon First Season! Those were the best. 2nd season was still good. But the 3rd season onwards was... =__= So yea.

DCW IRL Round 9: The Chairman
Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief replied to tengaku squared's topic in Chatroom
Miyu looked around. After the guy came in and said something about the briefcase, some who took the card put it back. Something from the briefcase caught her eye. She bent down and looked at it. She felt a resonance to it and picked it up. First thing that came to her mind: Poker cards. The set of cards with four suits. Two red, two black. Usually used in casinos. Popular games with it are the poker, black jack. She wondered if the card she holds on to has anything to do with poker cards? Next comes the tarot. She was fairly interested in them for a while after Mao introduced it to her. She was quite amused at how the people came up with the idea of such cards. She hasn't researched much into it yet though. Whatever it is, they give her a bad feeling about the situation. -
Haha I don't know martial arts anyway I've never touched a gun or seen a real one before either. I could have seen the handles when they are hanging from the belts of the policemen... and probably on television XDDDDD That's all. :V

I'm still very doubtful about the small market for the firearms. Aside from places like Pakistan etc, America buys quite a large number of fire arms compared to the rest of the world. The industry generates and pays up to billions of dollars of taxes to the government in a year alone. One can imagine how much income they get... Without the industry, not only do the conpanies lose money, the government loses its tax, the the investors lose their investments, and many jobs are lost. It will definitely affect the economy with a ban, unless the government and the rest of the world decides to do something to curb this, and reduce the impact to the minimum. Everything else is like you said, and I do support the idea of a gun ban. But yea, no one should expect any bans anytime soon.
-
What won't? Do you mean the sudden ban causing chaos won't happen? How would you be able to predict this? Americans who see it as their right would sit quietly allowing this to happen? Even if they would, the weaponry industry wouldn't. A sudden ban would cause a dip in the economy and the entire world will face another unrecoverable recession even a slow ban would not escape any damages. Also, even though most people would comply with the government, their mindset will not change. They've lived with it for most of their lives and they won't change their thinking or ideas overnight. They can live with it but not everyone will accept it. Those who won't will stage petitions, rage the government, boycotting etc. And nobody is stereotyping American gun owners over the crazies, the wackos and the killers. We do not think that all American gun owners are crazy. However, since there's no way you can tell who are the crazies, the wackos or the killers, allowing access to a gun will give these crazy people (or to-be-crazy people) a much easier way to get their hands on them. Also, not taking care of it properly will result in other crazy people taking possession of it. With more people with access to the weapons, the higher the chances that a crazy is holding onto it. Its just that. 1,000,000 responsible people and just 1 irresponsible one can cause a tragedy of a lifetime. No matter how martial artis trained you are, how can one block a bullet with their body? You can block a knife, a bat, a stick... but a gun??? Of course, I can see why the people need guns - to protect against wild animals etc. It may be a necessity, but still, letting common folk hold on to it is still pretty dangerous IMO.
-
There's no stopping it now that they have allowed the weapons into the country. Although I think that countries should ban weaponry like guns, it is never gonna work with America now that they have already started with it. A sudden ban would cause chaos and even more dangerous situations. The only thing is to try and control. Truthfully, allowing common people to possess guns is something I don't understand even now even though they claim it's for self defense...
-
Yes. I just realized I'm a totally sick being who enjoys watching gross stuff done to cute things... :VTrue. But with dangerous people coupled with dangerous guns make it even more dangerous. If Anyone can guarantee people won't abuse what they have, then there wouldn't be anything to worry about. But without access to weapons, there's a dramatically lesser chance of a fatal attack.
-
You don't wish to D:It's dangerous and I won't let you OMM: I wish the world didn't revolve around money...
-
:/ guns are scary. Its the thing that makes me feel unsafe to go to America since they allow guns to be carried around >__<

DCW IRL Round 9: The Chairman
Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief replied to tengaku squared's topic in Chatroom
One of the students was poking around and found a briefcase. The man's briefcase. "Hey, guys, look over here!" He opened the suitcase and pulled out...a bunch of cards. Small metallic cards with intricate drawings and a description in English. "What the hell are these? Grand Scheme?" "I guess they could be useful." "I should take one." "Hey, me too!" Miyu took a look at the cards and decided what she should do. -

"Well, hello again, students. This time the results of the puzzle were a bit...disappointing, I will admit. You can see for yourself." The man walked in once again and reported. Looks like Miyu has lost a point yet again. "More importantly, Metantei Kiddo has been eliminated. Frankly, I barely remember him, and rules and rules. I advise you turn away." 'Who was that?' Miyu had no impression of him. After the hideous ordeal was over, the man spoke. "Again, it is the p of o. Another rule and puzzle will be deployed after this." With that, he left the classroom again. Miyu counted. She has only 4 points left. Will they be stuck in this classroom indefinitely? Hope not. The remaining of the students has gathered together to discuss about the recent events. Many who has lost points started crying and praying. Miyu thought it was strange that the guy could get in and out of the classroom without being shot like the rest of the students. "Could it be..." Everyone turned around to face Miyu. "The door isn't actually locked?" "What are you talking about!?" Another student in the class commented. "We tried it at the very beginning remember!?" "What about after that?" "Didn't you see the entire mass of dead bodies around!? They tried to get out of the windo-wait." "You see...? No one tried the door afterwards isn't it?" "... True. But who can guarantee that nothing will happen if we tried to open the door? Like the window incident..." "The man went out of it unharmed didn't he?" "That's because he is the organizer, they must have stopped the firing just for him right?" "Well tha-" *creak* Everyone turned to the sound. "Hey guys... I think... I have just discovered something... haha." Mao said to the group while laughing coldly. She has just opened the classroom door. Everyone stared in shock. -
Its awesome <3333333333

Miyu sighs as the question appeared on the screen again. She was confused over the question but she answered anyway. -1 is much better than -4 anyway. "What did you answer?" Mao asked. Miyu raised her paper to her. "I see. We share the same answer then." Miyu nodded. "How's your leg Miyu chan?" "The bleeding has stopped. Misaki's first aid was done well." "That's good." "Thanks." "Miyu chan..." "Yea?" It was long since she had a normal chat other than school work with Mao. "Are you... Afraid?" "... If I said no I would most likely be lying." "I see. Hehe." The girl chuckled a bit. Miyu ignored the puzzling behavior. People can turn crazy in these kind of situations.
