My fave animes? Well... 1.) Detective Conan - For the mysteries and (as Miwa said) Sato and Takagi powa! *raises fist* 2.) Lucky Star - I just find it random and funny. Perfect for me. 3.) Haruhi - I find the show very entertaining. 4.) Azumanga Daioh - Same reasons as Lucky Star. 5.) Detective Academy Q - I like the mysteries and the easier murder tricks.

I think she mentioned that she didn't live in Florida in a thread. And I think she also mentioned going to a scuba diving lesson recently, so I don't think any place without an ocean is possible. But I'm not positive about this, I'm purely doing this from memory, so there is the chance I'm wrong.

My mom told me about the show, since she knew that it was popular in Japan (if you're curious WHY she knew this, my mom's side of the family lives in Japan and she contacts them about once a week). Since I had JUST run out of ideas of anime to watch, I decided to watch the first episode on YouTube. I instantly loved it and finished all the episodes I could in about a month (It was around the Shiratori/Kobayashi episodes that I finished most of the previous episodes). So then I started reading the manga when I could online as I waited for the next episode. And that's about it.

I think Shiho was more fit to be a scientist. The BO must have tried to get Akemi to follow her parents' footsteps, but when that failed, they moved onto Shiho, who gained her parents' intellect in science.
