What do you mean by the Detective Conan fan world? Are they on DCW? As for the depreciated work...I find your writing beautiful. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you stand back up. J.K. Rowling's book got denied 7 times by different publishing companies. Now she's a success. Fandubbing project...from what language to what language? And haven't DCTP done that already?

People, we're discussing what would happen, not the chances of it happening (which are relatively small). I agree that Ran would be extremely depressed and it would only happen if Shinichi had no possibility of turning back. Agreed. Ran doesn't seem the type to move on or give up easily, but I doubt the suicide. She'd probably put up a brave face but have loneliness and despair haunting her eyes for eternity. <-- starts ranting Agreed. While Ran may get over Shinichi, she probably won't marry. Ever. And Kogoro will definitely be upset and would probably kill Shinichi if he got the chance. I think that Shinichi and Ran would avoid each other for some time and rarely make eye contact or talk anymore. Sonoko would likely feel a bit stuck in the middle at first, then choose to go with Ran and ignore Shinichi.

Shin-chan? Anyways, it would kinda be defeating the entire purpose that Conan has been struggling over for so long if he didn't turn back. When the series ends, there'll be a lot of fics regarding "What if Conan didn't turn back?" on FF.net for sure. I'm relatively positive that Conan will turn back to Shinichi at the end.

I think it's tough to love someone from afar, especially when you only get to see them once or twice a year. I suppose the phone calls that Conan gives do help keep Shinichi alive in Ran's memory, but at times it probably feels like Shinichi is almost a figment of her imagination that she'll never meet in real life. Mou, if Conan doesn't hurry up and find some way to turn back, Ran's seriously gonna have a time of turmoil... ^ I suppose Ran lives by this.

I'm thinking that it'll last another 1-2 years. I believe he'd like to continue MK, so he'd have to leave a bit of time for that as well. Personally, I wouldn't mind the series going on longer, but I'd like Conan to turn back into Shinichi for good. Maybe they could have Shinichi solve the cases instead...I don't like "next generation" type of stuff since it's kinda repetitive, unless Shinichi has a daughter. That might be interesting.
