Trailer was still chill-inducing, even after the spoilers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qBHfd2NtJs

IT'S THE BIG TWO-OH GUISE, TIME TO PACK IN ALL THE MOVIE TROPES!1! The trailer didn't get me too hyped and I'm not really feeling the B'z song, but I'll try not to judge the movie too critically when it comes out regardless. It's not like this won't be just a purely fanservice movie anyway, so I shouldn't expect anything more from it.

Hmm, after the weekend I had over 19 hours clocked in, but that doesn't include the times I reset the game when I accidentally let a character die (tfw the commander lands a 3% crit...) I've played every day since the weekend, sometimes just for a few minutes if I have a lot of work to do, other times (like today) a little longer. As such, I'm now over 24 hours into the game, but as for total time via the 3DS Activity Log, I've had the game open for a little over 29 hours. I just beat Chapter 17 of Birthright and I'm going to move on to Chapter 18 when I have time. I fight in all the random Challenge battles (similar to the random Risen spawns from Awakening) and I take my time managing My Castle. I'm trying to go as fast as I can, but not so fast that I don't take the time to enjoy the game. As for how much I like it so far, I'd say it's pretty good. The gameplay mechanics are quite different from Awakening's; the playing field is more leveled so you don't have as massive of an advantage over CPUs. The plot also seems a little better, partially due to the fact that there are three routes and probably also due to the fact that I pretty much spoiled all of Awakening's twists before playing the game. If you're thinking of playing Fates, still play Awakening first if you haven't already. There are some things Awakening did better, like the voice acting, and you won't appreciate some of the references to Awakening in Fates unless you've played the former, of course. These might be the 3DS games you've been waiting for Kenzi ahhhhhhhhhhh get hype!! TO THE MOON WE GOOOOOOOOOOO I'm getting up nice and early to watch this (which means I really probably should sleep like right now)

Hey Adean, nice to meetcha! I'm looking to get my BS in Accounting and MAcc done in four years as a part of a program my school offers. I'm only a freshman though, so I won't be getting it done any time soon regardless. Best of luck to you in school, where ever on the planet it may be. Things can get rough out there mate. I hope you enjoy yourself here on the forums as well. Things tend to be really quiet, but it's a nice place regardless. Post around and try to make friends!

Birthright, only because it seems like the route that was intended to be played first. -- OMM: tfw you underestimate the amount of homework you actually had to do over the weekend Oh well, Fates was fun.

I'm watching the anime, but I may check out the manga after the anime ends to see some of the differences. I'll probably still prefer the anime for the superior directing (ep. 2 spoilers).

-- Now and Then, Here and There Here's an anime you've probably never heard of. It follows the hardships of a regular Japanese boy who is accidentally teleported to an alternate world very different from the one we live in today and finds himself inadvertently involved in the wrath of a crazed dictator. To put it bluntly, this 13-episode show is heavy. There is very little room for levity and it leaves you feeling empty at the end of each episode. To say it's a sad anime would be a bit misleading though. It probably won't make you cry, but it will almost certainly make you uncomfortable. It's a frustrating and thought provoking show about war that requires you to be in a certain state of mind to enjoy. I personally enjoyed it quite a bit, but I certainly wasn't very happy while watching it. It lays on the despair and injustice a bit too thickly at times, which can easily deter people from finishing it. However, I implore anyone who watches this to watch it to the end. It will be difficult to find the motivation to, especially if you start having cravings for something more lighthearted and and little less suffocating, but I felt that the last few episodes were the best and stopping halfway through would be a shame. The animation was pretty decent for a late 1990s anime, and the scenery and world are something you'd find in a dream, or more fittingly, a nightmare. It's haunting and as disturbing as it is beautiful. The soundtrack had its moments as well. More so than the soundtrack, the voice acting in this show is impeccable. It isn't very often that I recognize high quality work in the sound department that isn't music, but it's noticeable right off the bat with an anime like this. As far as characters go, the main character might turn some people off. He's headstrong, energetic, and has a mindset similar to Shirou Emiya's, if that gives you a good perspective. He would have been even more insufferable if not for the existence of the main antagonist of this anime, who is probably my least favorite anime character of all time, and that's really saying something. All in all, this anime isn't for everyone. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't recommend it. That doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it though. If you're in the mood for a heavy, emotionally stirring war anime, then this is something you should watch. However, it can be so unsettling at times, that I couldn't, in good conscience, force it upon anyone. This is something you should watch only if you've personally decided you want to. Dennou Coil Oh Dennou Coil, you crazy little anime, where to begin... You probably haven't heard of this show either. But unlike Now and Then, Here and There, I highly recommend you watch this. Not even four big ol' gifs can accurately portray what this show is all about. It's fast paced and slow, sad and funny, silly and serious, episodic and story-driven, all in one big package. It's even difficult to put the premise into words. In short, though this doesn't nearly describe everything that this anime is about, the show follows a girl who moves to a new city in a futuristic society, where people wear glasses that project digital images into real life. If the images weren't evidence enough, this show is gorgeous. It's a full 26-episode series from 2007, but its animation quality and consistency exceeds that of many of today's shows. It also boasts some of the best, if not the best, CGI and hand-drawn animation integration I've ever seen in an anime, though series like Fate/Zero and Shingeki no Kyojin did a pretty decent job during their action scenes as well. The soundtrack is varied and especially good during the intense and emotional moments. The characters are quirky and seem a bit weird at first, but they're easy to warm up to. The plot initially appears disjointed, and it certainly doesn't help that the story drops you right in the middle of this futuristic world without any explanation. As such, it's easy to dismiss this show as merely mindless eye candy, but that's far from the truth. When things begin to fall into place and the plot picks up at the halfway point, you'll find a mysterious and haunting story with its fair share of plot twists and intricacies. This anime also has a good amount of light-hearted and humorous moments as well. In fact, some of my favorite moments from this show are the funny ones. Instead of feeling out of place and atmosphere-breaking like in other shows, the humor in Dennou Coil is on point and helps to give character to and develop the cast of the show. It's a real shame that this series is as unpopular as it is. It's probably partially due to the fact that the show isn't licensed in the States, and also has a noticeable lack of official merchandise save for a couple of art books. After marathoning all the episodes yesterday, it immediately became one of my favorite anime of all time. The plot went by really fast at times, and I'm sure I missed a couple of details here and there, so a rewatch is definitely in order a couple of years from now. Anyone who can spare the time should definitely watch Dennou Coil.

You'll be old enough to vote in November and yet you still didn't keep up with the race from the very beginning... Just kidding, if you didn't want to, I guess that's fine. I've been following the election since the very first debates. I treat the entire thing like a battle royale survival anime, with each candidate pitted against members of the same team in a brutal gauntlet of challenges until the climactic showdown between the two victorious candidates. I find if you think of it that way, it's a lot more interesting. You start caring more about the characters candidates as you learn more about their backstories, personalities, and the like. As the presidential hopefuls drop one by one, the fighting gets more intense. It's been quite the ride. Christie and Fiorina are out now, huh... Fiorina looked like a really strong candidate for a short time after one of the earlier debates, but she's since been at the bottom of the pack. It's kind of a shame, I really thought she had potential. And it looks like Christie pulled a suicide attack on Rubio. One of those "if I'm going down I'm taking you with me moments," so to speak. Rubio survived but he's rather injured, so it'll be interesting to see if he can recover. And also, Kasich's second place finish speech was amazing. I didn't really think much of him before, but after what he said I really can't help but like him. He seems like such a kind-hearted and gentle person, and he's being overshadowed by everyone else just because he's a moderate Republican. I recommend everyone who sees this to take a listen from the 7:16 mark to a little after the 11:30 mark; he says some really soulful and nonpolitical things that I think everyone can appreciate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NprWgaG8Bbs I don't think he has much of a chance of winning, but I'm glad he's running and I wish more people gave him the credit he deserves. -- OMM: TODAY IS SUCH A DAMN GOOD DAY I TOOK THE SHIT OUT OF MY ACCOUNTING TEST I BOUGHT ANIME MERCHANDISE MY ONLY CLASS TOMORROW WAS CANCELED MY WEEKEND STARTS NOW I'M GOING TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES AND WATCH ANIME SO HARD MY FINGERS WILL BREAK AND MY EYES WILL BLEED GUESS WHO ISN'T SLEEPING TONIGHT?? NEW HAMPSHIRE HYPE LET'S GOOOOOO (}༼⊙-◞౪◟-⊙༽{) Well, after Super Tuesday (March 1st) I think a lot of the excitement will die down, especially when trends start to form. I haven't decided who I'll be voting for yet on March 15th, which is when Ohio has its primaries. I'll probably see how the flow of the election is progressing and make a choice last minute. I dunno about everyone else, but this election has been exciting from beginning to end so I'm all for more coverage, eheh. I can't help but feel that's an unpopular opinion though... Oh, I didn't follow the outburst too closely, so I must have missed those antisemitic comments. Yeah, that stuff's not cool. But otherwise... Fufufufu, have at it. Happy Lunar New Year and all, but why are people setting off fire crackers right outside the dorms? At night? What made them think this was a good idea...? I'm trying to study and do homework and gaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

INSANEINTHERAINMUSIC IS IN CHARGE OF THE OFFICIAL UNDERTALE JAZZ ALBUM WAHHHHHHHHH I'm so happy for him! His jazz covers are sick and we have similar tastes in video games so ayyy Hopefully he gets more exposure now, since he has criminally low views for the quality and work he puts into his arrangements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw6EkI_AHDA -
I'm more intrigued by that Heiji x Kazuha movie 21 he's promising, to be honest. And wow, some of these postcards have interesting tidbits on them; I'll look through them all when I have time later (haha, he likes Mikasa...). But yeah, I think it's safe to say we can change the articles now. It's a bit tedious to have to say "middle brother" and "mysterious child" all the time. Even if Gosho throws us a curve ball, which he probably won't this late in the game, changing the articles back to their original state shouldn't be much of a hassle, I don't think.
