I dislike when people use the phrase "old school" to describe anything "vintage" and "retro". It's cheap and fake sounding.

I'll second Kyuu on this. It's pretty damn good and it takes quite a lot for me to get started on watching a new anime because I have so many other hobbies on my plate. Definitely recommend checking it out.

If only. I've certainly seen far more examples where the otherwise has occurred. In this fandom I've even seen it sometimes.
