There is a contradiction (or at least you were going for one) because in order to make an excuse, I had to reply. If I reply, there would be no need for an excuse because I have already done it. See? That's not a good idea, considering I'm clumsy enough that it's possible I'd accidentally shoot someone or myself instead. Memorize all those tiny European countries... At once!
