  1. Commensalism: A type of symbiosis where one organism benefits from another without affecting them. Fact: An example is of clownfish living inside an anemone's tentacles.
  2. #35: YKYADCF when you fill your friends' whiteboards with doodles of bow ties.
  3. Um... Yeah. Breathing gives your brain oxygen, and without that, you'd die. Is it possible to jump off a 20-story building and survive as long as you have some sort of padding at the bottom?
  4. Sure! It would be a lot more peaceful there, as opposed to this busy marketplace. It almost reminds me of a documentary footage showing a bee's HIVE.
  5. Shinichi and Ran: 10 Heiji and Kazuha: 23 Kauri and Aoko: 37

    Martial Arts

Just realized I never replied to this...I know a person who does fencing! Apparently it makes your wrists hurt like crazy, but it's a cool sport.
  7. I was utterly confused as to what 'suicide' meant. Thank god that you meant it in tennis terms...
  8. How long I'll last here? I'm willing to bet a year as well. Next year is the important preparation year, then the years after that will require all my attention on schoolwork. And after that will be college. I mean, if DCW's still alive after 10 years, I'd be back...? Meh, I don't know. I'll drop by whenever I can Today we went outside to practice using Altitracks, this thing that lets you calculate the rocket's peak altitude with tangents. And then we were late to lunch T-T If anything, my brother is the science geek. He memorized all the data for the planets since he was in Kindergarten, and has moved on to other things in deep space since then, which I won't deny makes me a bit jealous. OMM: Raki got a phone, and now being in school won't stop her from posting xD v
  9. Haha, we should have a thread-reviving project of something Yes. This. Bill Nye is just so amazing...3D printers are really cool. I went to the Aerospace Engineering Club interest meeting today, and the guy talked about how you could build one yourself. O.o
  10. Stereolithography: A type of projection (or as a file type: .stl) that takes horizontal slices of a 3-dimensional object as data. Fact: By saving things in this file type, you will be able to 3D-print it. Maybe, but we wouldn't be able to know, would we? And it's not like it was encouraged inside that concentration camp. Camp 14 is known for keeping 3 generations there, so his parents couldn't have offered him love, either. To expect somebody to just know about something they never knew existed isn't exactly fair.
  11. ... What? O.oI found out that no matter how bad you are at math, my school will force you to take high school courses in middle school (unless you get held back).
  12. Yeah. Apparently, things like that happen a lot, and the way everybody lived and was raised practically brainwashed them. That person also mentioned to the interviewer that, now that he's experiencing a 'normal' life in South Korea, he's trying to understand what 'love' is.Assimilation: The process in which one slowly melds into another culture through adopting their customs, habits, living style, etc. Fact: Younger people have an easier time assimilating than older people.
  13. Dear Anon, GUTS... Hehe. You really hate her, don't you? She doesn't exactly know you, so let's hope she can feel you glaring lasers into her back, ne? Signed, Me
  14. Gah... Don't make me choose right now. I like them both T-THehe, but I wouldn't be happy if I'm always studying. DCW is like my place my relaxation, since posting requires zero effort and brainpower. I've always liked Astrophysics and Aerospace Engineering, and I found my liking for genetics when I was researching for the EXPLORE project. Alleles are fun~ In Tech. Ed., we're building model rockets, so technically rocket science? Too bad the teacher isn't really good at teaching... OMM: Weekends are over... But this week's only 3 days long, so --> as long as I can make it through.
  15. I did ask you... Just ask my parter on crime T-TDeadline for sign-ups is tomorrow... @Mohovoricic: Did you get a new laptop?

    Favorite Season

I'm not aware of most current events either, it's just that when MK mentioned that Japanese earthquake/tsunami in 2011, I tried to search what year it was in. When I typed 'Japan earthquake', the top half of the page was filled with the news.
  17. I'd love to, except that would mean giving up Taekwondo. If I do get in to that school, I doubt I'd be as active here. (STEM stands for Science, Technology, English, and Mathematics) Astrophysics, aerospace engineering, and genetics~ OMM: Ew... Lemon and honey. Again.
  18. Oh, can Raki and I not get each other? We are already doing a Secret Santa (*stares at Raki*) IRL, so doing it again here is... Repetitive and likely that one of us would find out before the gift-giving day.
  19. *sigh* I should take my brother's advice and play soccer. It's a high school that focuses on STEM subjects, and it's really hard to get in to. Even after you get in, it's supposedly the type that makes you super stressed out. A lot of people aren't even going to try because of that reason. Of course, I have never been in it, nor do I have an older sibling who goes there, so who knows?

    Depression Club

Not really, but I've disliked plenty of people for their speech habits. I started avoiding her because of said speech habit, and disliked her for other things.Wise hermits? O.o @Kenzi: My school is having a depression screening soon. They won't let you escape~
  21. ... Never thought about sports, other than the TaeKwonDo I've been doing for a while. The high school I'm going to try out for is known for taking a teenager's life away xD

    Depression Club

I don't dislike her that much; it's just she talks for a long time. I actually never knew she was in psychiatry until a while ago.

    Depression Club

I have an aunt in psychiatry. Don't know the details though (coughIdon'tlikehercough).
  24. I'll believe you. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rest of my extra-curricular activities...I'm starting to be glad that I didn't make it for MathCounts this year.

    Depression Club

... Is that legal to trick people what the drug is for? Unless they put that in tiny print O.o
