I prefer Ai as an individual rather than someone involved as a couple. She has plenty of potential as a scientist and an interesting personality on her own. That's why I root for ShinRan- besides, they were childhood friends and their 'long-distance relationship' can be humorous to the plot at times- it has already become the storyline for many episodes. All in all, I don't think bad of Conan and Ai (in fact, I know someone who stands by ConAi no matter what), but I've always believed ShinRan to be a more interesting couple.

I agree. I consider a great character staying by herself- she's a professional scientist. I don't see her as a housewife/ partner (as Mitsuhiko does).

I came across it because, when I was young, it used to air on TV a lot, and I ended up watching it. But I stopped for some time. Recently I remembered it when I was bored and searched it up. Now Detective Conan is my favourite anime!

I don't know... To be honest, I've always wished for an ending. But now I think about it, I don't want it to end... Maybe there should be an epilogue to the ending. Or, the anime and manga series end, but movies and OVAs carry on. Just saying...

No explaining needs to be done... Ai is my favourite character- and a key part to the series.
