Gracie and Kevin were guided to a room with a bunk bed which they were going to sleep in for the night. Although she was eager to solve the case, she was also exhausted from the long drive and fell asleep within minutes. In the morning, she was far from her best mood after sleeping in such uncomfortable clothing, and she also seems to have caught a cold. Tired and sick, she got down from the top bunk and nudged her brother awake. They got themselves cleaned up and walked down to the living room. While preparing themselves some breakfast from what they could find in the cabinets, a loud voice boomed through the hallways. "It appears you are in a state of confusion. If you fail to find Mrs.Scarlet's killers, great misfortune will fall on you all..." Kevin gripped Gracie's hand tightly at that. The voice continued, "Since you haven't found any suspects, you must vote for a punishment that your group will suffer. You can choose from Forced Participation, Madhouse, and Bad Accident," and then it went silent. Still holding hands, the siblings proceeded to vote.

[About time I posted...] For some reason, both Gracie and Kevin received an invitation to a certain Anne Scarlet's birthday one week ago. Although they did not know who Ms.Scarlet was, they were curious and decided to attend. Mr. and Mrs.Shinn, knowing that they'd be fine by themselves, allowed them to go alone, leaving them a number in case of emergencies. Gracie was just walking around the mansion after she finished her dinner, creating a mental blueprint of the manor, when the lights suddenly flickered out. A scream pierced the air and Gracie's heart jumped when she felt someone brush past her. When the lights came back on, Gracie found herself to eye level with Ms.Scarlet, who was hanging from the ceiling, dead. She hurried downstairs to try and locate Kevin, stopping for a second to look at her left arm and finding a strand of dark brown hair. She picked it up with a handkerchief and stuffed it into her purse. Gracie found Kevin in the front of the crowd gathered around the body and was explained to about the situation. A minute later, they were ushered away by a tall man and told to stay close to an adult at all times. Gracie only had to take one look at Kevin to know he was thinking the same thing as her: they must find the truth behind this bloody birthday.
