  1. ... I hadn't read this before. I don't see why any person should look upon another and say something like this. To be completely honest, I am atheistic, and do not believe in things as 'sinful' so much as immoral, wrong, or illegal. HOWEVER, there is no way someone can convince me that another person is committing an act against their moral values, no matter their religious beliefs, by falling in love with someone of the same gender. (or opposite, for that matter) How would you feel if people told you that you couldn't marry the person you love because you are different genders? Have you EVER seen a homosexual group trying to ban heterosexual marriage?! What if someone else's holy book said that marriage was to be only between members of the same gender, and that opposite gender relations were merely for reproductive purposes and not to be emotionally binding? As for trying to 'fix' homosexuality... there is no problem in the first place! I wholeheartedly support all relationships that are based on love, support, and faith in one another. Telling someone that they aren't allowed to love someone because of their gender is infringement of their rights, especially in the US, where the right to pursue happiness is guaranteed by out constitution. I won't ramble on about how I do not support any of your religious views or anything you said in your statement, but I do want to say this: If you do not support gay-straight alliance, do NOT post here. This thread is meant to remind everyone that they should love who they love despite the objections of people like you. Normally I refrain from using any hateful language or referring to others as 'disgusting' or 'wrong' because of their beliefs, but how can you deny someone the right to love based on your own beliefs? It doesn't matter WHO we love, as long as we and our partners do not do anything to harm others or their rights. As a bisexual or homosexual member of society, a person can live life being looked down upon by people like you, or they can rise above the unfounded hatred and disgust of those who would deny them the love that they live for and truly be alive~

  2. Hi, I figured that I would introduce myself. I'm tedturtle and I have been a fan of Detective Conan for a couple of years. I like most of the main characters in some shape and form but my favorite ones are Ran, Kogoro, Kaitou Kid, and Ai Haibara. As for non-Conan related stuff. I like video games, anime old and new ones (Transformers, Rise of the Yokai Clan, DeathNote, Excel Saga, H.O.T.D, etc), tokusatsu series (mostly sentai stuff like Power Rangers, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Big Bad Beetleborgs(using English version names lol), and dabble into some kaiju stuff like Godzilla. I also like to draw and watching foreign tv shows.

  3. Hey guys. This here is the LGBTQA+ Community (edited to actually be inclusive, as the GSA is very limiting). This thread is for the people who are homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, demisexual, heterosexual and/or any other sexual/romantic orientation you may be, as well as transgender, genderqueer, genderfluid, and non-binary people. You can be anything to support this; it's called the LGBTQA+ Community, after all. Just be someone who believes it's unfair and not right to simply judge someone of what gender they're attracted to. There are quite a few kids about there who are figuring out their sexual/romantic orientation. It is very possible you are discovering who you are. But there are teenagers and adults alike who are bullied every day for who they are. Some eventually can't stand the pain anymore and commit suicide because they feel hated, unwanted and repulsive to others. These people need to know that there are people out there in the world who care, even if you don't know them personally. They care what happens, and they believe in equal rights for all. Don't be afraid to be who you are. Just because of who they like doesn't change anything. They're still human. Even if you find out your friend is homosexual, bisexual or anything else, you shouldn't freak out. They're still your friend. It doesn't automatically mean they like you and are trying to come on to you. There are males who are attracted to females. There are females who are attracted to males. There are males attracted to males, females attracted to females and some who are attracted to both males and females. There are other people who are genderfluid, genderqueer or nonbinary. A quote from Cassandra Clare: Did you know? Interracial marriage wasn't allowed until after 1967. How would you feel if someone told you that you couldn't marry your love just because they weren't the same skin color as you? The same race? Same-sex marriage is legal in ten countries (as of 2012): Argentina Belgium Canada Iceland Netherlands Norway Portugal South Africa Spain Sweden The issue has been debated in several more, and some are still working things out. It is, however, in some countries, illegal to be homosexual and you will be put in jail or even killed for it. Homosexuality used to be considered a mental illness. And get this - It's legal for marriage equality in six states of the U.S. (Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Iowa) while it's legal to have sex with a horse in 23. Nice going, America. According to Aeyra: I do realize there are people out there who are religious and even pious, and this goes against your beliefs. Or there may be other homophobic people who are merely disgusted with the idea who homosexuals. I understand that. However, if you are one of these people, I ask that you don't flame or hate on this thread. Don't even bother with this if it's not in your beliefs. We want to help people; not start a fight or an argument with anyone. If you do, however, have a serious issue with this, please PM me. People should be able to love whoever they want. To be truthful... I'm currently trying to figure out what my sexuality orientation is, and I believe myself to be bisexual. But to all my friends I've made here on Detective Conan World who are homophobic, I'm still me. Nothing's changed. Homosexuality is still considered a new idea. Many people are afraid of new things and straying from the normal path. It will take a while for people to adjust to the idea of two males or two females loving each other, but I hope they will learn to accept it soon. Take a look at how America felt about interracial marriage. They didn't react very well. Look at it now. If you're homosexual, bisexual, transgender, pansexual or asexual and you haven't "come out" about it, just know that there are people who care. Don't think about self-abuse or suicide. Know that someone cares, and we're here for you. If you need to talk about anything, I know Aeyra, I and many other DCW members will be happy to listen and try to help the best we can. I just want (and I know many others do as well) to be able to walk down the street openly, holding the hand of whoever I love freely and unafraid of what anyone will say or do, regardless of their orientation and/or gender.

  5. On December 3rd, a man named Ryuko Daisuke, age 26, went missing. He was last seen with a woman named Ryuko Haname, his grandmother who he was taking care of because she was ill. He went missing around 3:30 that afternoon, and his body was found in an abandoned car with no fingerprints. The victim had been stabbed once in the abdomen and shot once in the head. His wallet was not on his person, and the last thing he did was go to the pharmacy for his grandmothers medication. He was supposedly a very wealthy man. There was no clues at the crime scene except for a half-smoked cigarette. The following people are the 3 suspects: Ryuko Haname: The victims grandmother. She never really liked him because he dated a woman named Samaru Manami, who the grandmother hated. Motive: Hatred or perhaps monetary gain(the wallet?) Smokes: Yes Dakaru Hideme: The used to be male friend of Ryuko Daisuke. The victim dated Dakaru Hideme's secret love, so they were not very close. Motive: A painful past, or monetary gain Smokes: No Samaru Manami: The victims love life. She broke up with him shortly after their first-year dating anniversary for no apparent reason. Motive: No leads. Smokes: No

  6. I would prefer less "I have a crush on this DCW member" comments, for the record. Take DCW-related stuff involving specific members up with the specific members instead of airing it out publicly like it's dirty laundry. Thank you.

  12. Mine are listed in chronological order. Movie 2 (The Fourteenth Target) - I'm a sucker for a twisted motive, and it's similar to the ABC murders, my favorite book. Also, it was simiilar to the series in the way Kogoro acted and was pulled into the case. This was one of the cases I couldn't wait to figure out~ Movie 4 (Captured in Her Eyes) - I just plain love this movie~ The mass of suspects and unsuspected culprits is great, and Kogoro and Eri hold a rare treatise. Sonoko shows her caring side, and Conan's overprotective nature shines through as he resembles Shinichi more and more. The chase scene and Ran's ending karate made me love this even more, and I loved the glimpse into the past. This is definitely one of my top 3 favorites~ Movie 9 (Strategy Above the Depths) - I liked that although it was set in the closed environment of a ship, it wasn't another case where Conan, Kogoro, and Ran just happened to be the only people outside of a family or group who were there. Although it seems that it was set on a Suzuki financial group liner just to give Sonoko a reason to be there, the alibi trick and double-deduction was exciting, and Kogoro's Martial Art cameo was an awesome touch. The last bit was improbable and pure suspense, but this was one of the movies that packed in memories, action, and a great mystery~ Movie 10 (Private Eye's Requiem) - Despite the unnecessary chase scene and Kid cameo, I enjoyed the excitement of the investigation time limit and especially liked the scenes with Kogoro showing his vulnerability and worry and the mistaken beliefs of the false culprit, although a few scenes were cliche. Also, Agasa'a scene where he says he'll stay with the children even when time is going to run out was touching. Movie 13 (The Raven Chaser) - I love Irish as a character because of how quickly betrayal changes his mind about what is right, and the excitement of suspecting every officer was thrilling. This was the first movie of DC I watched in japanese, and it became the one to which I compare all the others. Again, there are scenes that didn't need to occur, and there were a few out of character moments or obviously predictable scenes, but the writers aren't Gosho-sensei, and the plot still retained the satisfying twist that each great case seems to hold~ Movie 15 (Quarter of Silence) - This was an unconventional movie to me, because it seemed different than the others. More time seemed to pass, and it was looser, less heavy than some of the others. We knew after seeing the trailers what would happen, more or less, but there wasn't a sense of danger the entire time, which led to more surprises along the way to discovering the true culprits in the multiple cases revealed throughout the movie. There are ShinRan scenes as well, which, despite being common in the movies, (and disappointing countless ConAi fans) showed more of Ran's despair and hope for Shinichi than the others, which usually focused on her want to see him or need of help from him personally. It's also one of the movies in which Ran's attachment to Conan, the little brother she never had, which makes it seem like a later event than some of the movies in which she allows him t run off alone and investigate, or in which she never finds out about the dangerous stunts he pulls to corner a culprit~
