Kaori Kitasaka receives a message from Conan, which can be translated in English to "Hairy caterpillar and hairless caterpillar." She is able to decipher the code hidden in the message, due to her ability in deciphering Tanuki Code: "It's good that you parted ways with him." Upon reading the text, Kaori's anger dissipates, and she does not shoot the groom; instead, she hands him a bouquet of flowers as a present. The case ends well, and at the end, the Detective Boys are seen excited about the coming visit to the Bell Tree Tower.

Trivia

• This episode is the pre-story for Movie 18, Dimensional Sniper, much like The Missing Sweets in the Old Shop was the pre-story for Movie 17, Private Eye in the Distant Sea. At the end of the episode Conan makes a remark about another case occurring during his next trip to Bell Tree Tower: the sniping incident that starts off Dimensional Sniper.
