    Trivia

    • Mitsuhiko says that they are going to investigate Shinichi's house which he says "is the last house on the left" a clear allusion to the 1972 film of the same name.

    Manga to anime changes

    • The manga version of the story marks the debut of Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, Ayumi Yoshida and Genta Kojima. In the anime, they appear in the first episode.

    Dub changes

    • In the English Dub, Genta brags about his intention to beat the ghost with the other Detective Boys teasing him about it, whereas in the Japanese Version the Detective Boys liken themselves as characters in an RPG game.
    • Akio's name in the English Dub is Abraham.
