Conan, Ran, and Sonoko are in the shopping mall, where they meet model girls promoting new toy seal. Later, they heard a scream, and found one of the models is dead.

After hearing a loud scream, Sonoko, Conan and Ran head to the storage room only to find Mai Fukamoto pointing towards Ayaka's corpse. After early investigations by the police, a letter addressed to Mai was found and all suspicion went towards her, even though she denies it.
