- The screenwriter of this episode, Masaki Tsuji, used to work for NHK TV. Therefore, the story background is set in TV station in the Showa 50s, and many of the matters described were his personal experiences.
- The director Yasuichiro Yamamoto said in one of the interviews that, after Search for Maria-chan!, he wanted some characteristic plots, to bring up the diversity of TV original. He then pointed out this episode and claimed that it is interesting that past cases and present cases are intertwined.
