Trivia
- Even though the first three pages of chapter 134 were already adapted in the previous episode, they are reaired in this very episode.
- When naming fighting over the submarine's name, the characters choose names that start with their own name followed by the suffix -maru. It is often applied in Japanese ship names since the word "maru" meaning "round" represents completeness and belovedness, as the ship is its own being.
- In this episode is introduced the second eyecatcher (transition panel for commercial breaks) of the series, featuring Onimaru, Kaguya, Yaiba, Musashi, Jubei and Kojiro in various poses holding their weapons.
- In this episode, the opening theme is updated to match the Kaguya Arc.

- ^ Takuya Matsumaru changed his stage name to Tomohisa Aso in the late 1990s but is credited in this episode using his real name.
