A barmaid in Ginza asked Kogoro to investigate a missing armadillo belonging to a barmaid. He went to Birinmon fish market to ask the wholesalers if they saw Armadillo.

The brothers committed the robbery by disguising as the vehicle drivers in advance. They were also the ones who stole the armadillo and used it to bait the real armored vehicle drivers. Their plan was foiled when they went inside Birinmon fish market and had water thrown on them from the wholesalers, which caused them to lose control of the vehicle and dive head first in the river. The armadillo was retreaved and it was revealed that the barmaid wanted to use it as a sideshow animal, causing Kogoro, Conan and the armadillo to freak out and escape her.
