Situation

Conan, Ran, and Kogoro are invited by "Oshiro" Venture Company for attending the demonstration of their new frying pan. After the demo, the president, Naoyuki Omura, is scheduled to give a speech, but he is found dead in his office.

While the police are investigating, an explosion occurs at the research building, and they found Masakazu Koshiro lying dead, along with a suicide note.

Conan later found president's wallet and a bloody knife in the research building, while the police discover a bottle of slepping pills and a gas valve in president's office. The police conclude that both the president and the chief plan to kill each other.

However, after discovering hamburger sauce stain on president's office wall, and some melting metal on research building AC controller, Conan discovered the true culprit.

The true culprit is Tetsuo Taguchi. He killed the president and framed it as robbery, using the president's computer to write suicide note, and give the chief tea with sleeping pills. He swapped the gas valve and use galium to delay the gas leak, and melted it with the AC.

The evidence is hamburger sauce stain on Tetsuo's sleeve and some galium on his hand and Conan's handkerchief previously borrowed by Tetsuo.

He confesses that both the president and the chief believed that one day they would kill each other, and if both of them got killed, the company will be owned by Tetsuo and Tomi.
