Remastered

The definition of "remastered" is currently in the glossary. We have a category for remastered episodes, but not all the remastered episodes may have been categorized yet. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 11:15, 19 May 2013 (PDT)

Extra information

What exactly is the extra info? Is it something that is broadcast channel specific, or is it shown throughout Japan? If it is the first, I would probably not bother. If it is the second, like some Conan contest announcements, I would say go for it. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 09:09, 30 May 2013 (PDT)

Gallery images

Hi. While moving image files it would be better to do so without creating redirect. You'll see a check box below "Leave a redirect behind". Also please avoid uploading images containing subtitles. Also are you taking screenshots on phone? The resolution doesn't seem original and we could still see a portion of black bar on the either sides of the image. Thank you--Dark Blizzard (talk) 04:43, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

I am taking photos on the phone but there’s not a lot of raw episodes of detective Conan on Nyaa so can I please take photos with eng sub please. Can you please do change of the rules please to allow that please because how we will able to do the image galleries please. (GemYin (talk) 07:53, 3 December 2020 (UTC))
No. Those are the rules. It doesnt look good having texts on images anyways. We are trying to replace the older images containing subtitles, so allowing more would just make twice more work. Well, at least try taking screenshots when no subtitle is showing. --Dark Blizzard (talk) 11:01, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Also, before uploading make sure to check the existing gallery. If the gallery has images already then you have to continue that numbering. Dont create a new set of 1, 2, 3..etc. Thank you --Dark Blizzard (talk) 03:13, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Image format

Hey there, I've noticed that you've uploaded quite a few files for episode galleries. Just a notice, please keep the image format for episodes 1 to 453 in 4:3 format. You don't need to compress them, it makes their size look weird. --Nakamura talk 13 April 2021, 13:58 (UTC).

I’m sorry but the videos where I did the screenshots of those files were made to be like because of the videos themselves. I didn’t compress them intentionally because they already were like that to begin with because of the videos themselves which I did not realise that the images were compress until you told. Rainbow Color Kidnapping/Gallery

Hey Gemyin, it seems that the issue has been solved by Jefflie. Do not hesitate to contact me again if that user does weird things again. --Nakamura talk 22:07, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

Gallery Formatting and General Rules

Hello Gemyin! Hope you're doing well! Thanks for the fruitful recent edits on the Wiki. Here are some tips to help gear your edits towards something more uniform and sharp.

  • For categories for images, please use the formatting "Category:Images of XXX" instead of "Category:XXX images". Most categories are already named that way.
  • Please refrain from uploading images with subs, as they are unofficial. In the same fashion as in the manga we upload from the raws and not scanlated images.
  • Don't forget to categorize pages your create. Also, you need to mention the article's title in the introduction. Ex: In Nichiuri TV, instead of "It’s a television network. Its TV station first appeared in Detective Conan.", use "'''Nichiuri TV''' is a television network. Its TV station first appeared in Detective Conan."

I would hope you would follow these guidelines, but let me know if you have specific reasons for doing so and let me know if you have questions. We're all here for you. --Nakamura talk 21:52, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

No worries Gemyin. It seems they were probably older images so it's ok for now. Don't sweat it. We'll work slowly towards more transparency. ^^) --22:03, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
Hey Gemyin. Can you try limiting the number of images per episode in galleries ? Between a dozen and 20 is pretty much enough for each episode. Just so we don't get copyright striked, yk yk ? --Nakamura talk 01:40, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
