Part 1

While doing a bus tour as tourists for Kagekuwa, a small village in Hachioji, Conan, Kogoro, and Ran witness someone dying in front of their eyes. While investigating, they learn that an accident which took place many years ago is linked to the murder.

Part 2

Conan continues investigating. A search for Yabe is organized by Kogoro and the policemen. Kogoro manages to find him, and he gets questionned in a police station nearby. Conan calls Professor Agasa, and asks him to search something for him on the Internet.

Conan reveals that the murderer is Touko Natsume, the daughter of a man named Kouhei Moritsugu who was killed in the accident from seven years ago.

Suspects: Youichi Tezuka

Youichi recklessly fought someone, it lose motion so the bus fell.

She planned to take revenge on all the passengers who were present at that time, the motive being that if someone else had also helped Komai (the previous bus attendant), her father would have probably survived. She first killed Okumura and Funaki (as their bus schedule didn't match with the rest), then attempted to kill the rest of the witnesses along with herself by tampering with the bus brakes. At first she was going to kill Komai as well, as she was also on the bus at the time, but after seeing her go to her father's grave and apologize she decided not to. Conan told Touko that Okumura was actually not involved in the bus accident seven years ago, as he was at home sick. When the bus was about to fall off the cliff.

She manipulated the brakes so that everyone would die, because of the incident 7 years ago.

Conan rescued everyone with his elastic suspenders. After the bus finally stopped.

• The Nishi Tokyo Bus B001 reappears in The Scenic Lookout with the Broken Fence, but not the driver. The license plate number is 西多摩 22 • か 23-79 (Nishitama 22 • Ka 23-79).
• Kinu Komai car drive is a 1997 Dark Blue Toyota Caldina [T210G]. The license plate number is 西多摩 55 • て 53-29 (Nishitama 55 • Te 53-29).
