Mitsuhiko has a new radio transceiver that intercepts other peoples conversations, but when it intercepts a kidnap case, Conan must figure out the hidden location before a young daughter loses her life.

Junko's dad worked as the tenant of the building he lived in with his family. Some time ago, a little girl died when she fell off a rooftop, which was caused by his negligence on repairing the rooftop door's broken lock; that kid was Tomidokoro's toddler daughter, and he blamed the tenant for it. Since Junko's dad was acquitted, he couldn't stand it and decided to take revenge. Tomidokoro kidnapped and tied up little Junko, brought her to a nearby building's terrace, and then forced Junko's dad to do his bidding via giving him instructions through a walkie-talkie... before saying that he wanted to stab himself to death, or Junko would die. This was foiled by Conan and the Detective Kids: Conan kicks off the walkie-talkie to Tomidokoro's face and knocks him out, then he uses and the released Junko use the w-t to tell this to Junko's dad so he won't kill himself.
