He hid the slipper in a fish bowl, using a mixture of benzyl alcohol and ethanol to match the bowl's refractive index. Making a move at Mikuru to steal it, Ran steps in, and fights against him, kicking him in the face. Nijee gets back up, compliments Ran for her skills, and fills the entire room with a smoke bomb, effectively taking the slipper and running off with it. | ||
Conan kicks Nijee with his power-enhanced kick shoes, injuring his back and throwing the work out his hand. Mikuru, Pochitan, and a confused and newly awoken Anna catch up. Nijee turns Lost at Midnight into the Hanninda, which creates a magical forcefield, leading Conan to believe they have disappeared. They then transform into Cure Answer and Cure Mystique. Struggling to defeat the giant monster, they decide to use their Pre-Kit Light to create a ball and both kick it at the Hanninda, weakening it. They attack the Hanninda using the Precure Flying Spectrum, turning it back to Lost at Midnight. | |||
At sunset, Anna and Mikuru return, with everyone curious as to where they went. The true Chinami Hosho arrives as well as Jett, and Lost at Midnight is returned. After all the strange words Anna used were brought up, she and Mikuru thank Conan, who somehow helped solve the mystery simply due to his presence. After Anna asks who he is, Conan replies that he's a detective.</spoiler> | |||

- Adaptations of Anna confronting the culprit in this episode are shown on TV in its Detective Conan counterpart The Gold-Star Answer.
- With Mikuru knowing the famous Sleeping Kogoro but not Anna, it could be inferred that in the Pretty Cure! universe, the events of Detective Conan take place around 1999-2000 rather than in 2027, the time Anna is from.
- The monster Conan, Ran and Kogoro are investigating bears a resemblance with Gomera, a monster character in Detective Conan.
- The eyecatches in the episode pay homage to the iconic Detective Conan eyecatches.
- The shadowy silhouette staring at Anna and Mikuru in the museum is a homage to "The Criminal", a silhouette used in Detective Conan to show the culprit of a case without revealing their identity.
