'''Masato Furubuchi''' and '''Ryota Tanno''' planned their own alibis so as to '''kill each other'''. Furubuchi is afraid that he will be exposed for plagiarism, while Tanno is unable to forgive his master for what he has done. Tanno was the one to win the fight, but he couldn't escape justice. In the post-credit, Takagi praises Natsumi Sasakawa for her handcuffs not letting the culprit have time to run away. She then proceeds to handcuffs Conan Edogawa and Wataru Takagi just for fun like what she did to Kogoro and Tanno earlier.

Furubuchi and Tanno had each planned their own alibis in an attempt to murder the other person, but Furubuchi was likely unable to kill Tanno, as '''Tanno''' is the culprit of Furubuchi's murder. Furubuchi was afraid that he will be exposed for plagiarizing his juniors' work, while Tanno is unable to forgive his master for what he has done.

Situation

Kogoro and Conan happen to meet one of Kogoro’s huge fan, Natsumi Sasakawa, whom her dad soon appears to introduce her to Kogoro. Then Kogoro’s client, Ryota Tanno, arrives and begins to discuss with the detectives about the recent threat letter he received.

Meanwhile, Professor Agasa and Haibara are running on a road near the beautiful river when a boat without something to keep it from floating indefinitely catches the attention of the two, prompting Agasa to take a suitable stick to retrieve the boat. However, the content inside the boat is not as peaceful as the scenery…

When Megure, Takagi are questioning Haibara and Agasa about the time before the death of Masato Furubuchi, some people' gossip about him catches the attention of the four, as Haibara comes to ask them about the person Furubuchi argued with.

Haibara makes a call to Conan to ask him if Kogoro's client today is Tanno, and informs him about what just happened. Kogoro after taking the phone and hearing what happened, soon concludes that Tanno fabricates alibis so that he can be out of suspicion.

However, a receptionist of the building is able to confirm Tanno's alibis, making the situation slightly complicated. Suddenly, Natsumi handcuffs both Tanno and Kogoro, creating a hilarious situation for the audience, while Conan can have time to investigate the scene with Agasa and Haibara.

Once the investigation is done, the three quickly return to the building before the true culprit can escape from custody.
