Manga to anime changes
- As episode 249 ends with Terumi bringing up how Megure needs to still find the murder weapon to deduce the suspect, Conan wonders what feeling he's getting off of her.
- The anime cuts out the scene where Ran and Yoko asks Yuki about Kaoru's status.
Trivia
- In this case, Kogoro is wearing the Yoko headband that Masayo Aoshima was wearing in The Locked Bathroom Murder Case.
- Although Terumi Hoshino appeared on a poster in The Locked Bathroom Murder Case, this is the first time with her having a speaking role.
- Kogoro told Conan that these four female idols are referred to as the four 'Earth Ladies', since:
- Kaoru Kusano represent the fields, Kusa meaning grass (草);
- Yuki Takeno represents the glaciers at the top of the mountains, Take meaning peak (岳);
- Terumi Hoshino represents the stars in the sky, Hoshi meaning star (星);
- Yoko Okino represents the water and oceans, Oki meaning the high seas (沖).
