Situation

The victim is Juro Dan, the chairman of Dan Juro Food. At first glance, everyone believes that someone stood at the top of the Dan Juro Food office to commit the killing shot. Kogoro suggests they test the theory with a dummy.

Murder
Victim: Juro Dan
Age: 65 years old
Time: Between 11:30 AM and 11:55 AM
Cause of death: Severe blood loss caused by an arrow on the throat
Suspects: Hitotsu Dan, Futatsu Dan, and Chinatsu Tachibana

There are three suspects and their respective alibis:

  • The first one to discover the scene was Juro’s secretary Chinatsu Tachibana, who was working with him at 11:30 AM before he was found dead. At that time, she heard the doorbell, so she went there to take the food from the delivery man. Twenty-five minutes later, the food finished heating up in the microwave as she was preparing water for the two. However, when she brought the meal to the chairman, he had already been found dead.
  • The second and third one are Juro’s sons, Hitotsu Dan and Futatsu Dan. Both of them were taught archery by their father. Recently, there have been grudges between each of them and their father; and grudges between the brothers. Both of them were eating at the Dan Juro Food cafeteria at the time the victim died. However, there were times during the lunch in which each of them were absent from the table due to circumstances.
