Prior to the current scene, Sonoko sends messages proposing an emergency meeting with other girls including Ayumi, Haibara, Sato, and Ran as she was informed about a ninja-themed event that might smell like an upcoming crime by her acquaintance. Before the five can get there, they must first dress in like a kunoichi and take the walkie talkie.
The five are currently tracking a woman wearing a similar costume to them but Sato suddenly changes the target to a man wearing it for some reason. The pursuit continues on that man until they realize that many people are actually wearing the costume for the said event, making the stakeout meaningless, so Sonoko suggests having tea somewhere. - The Kingscote Crown is named after a British jockey Richard Kingscote.
- The brand printed on the delivery bag equipped by the culprit reads "Baker Eats", which is a parody of Uber Eats. Meanwhile, the term "Baker" is related to Sherlock Holmes.
