Rum appearing before 906[edit]

Are we sure the poster didn't just edit that AC hint in at a later point after writing that entry on September 3, 2014? --- Black Demon 08:12, 21 March 2015 (CET)

I'll see if their page shows up on an internet archive. If not I'll roll it forward to when it hit western forums timestamped. Nope internet archive didn't manage to get that blog. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 17:10, 21 March 2015 (CET)

Rum's gender and hearsay in general[edit]

Rum's gender is not confirmed. The character has not appeared in person or had a character who is knowledgeable of Rum use a decisive gender pronoun (e.g Bourbon confirmed male in the red shirts by Kir's "kare"). This means we only have second-hand accounts of imperfect accuracy. Black Organization members can often disguise after all. Vermouth was active at least 3 years before the Kouji incident. Second, we also have the codename pattern to think about. While Gosho is free to break his own pattern as a juke, there is also no reason why he wouldn't keep it as well because he tends to be a creature of habit. There is a difference between announcing suspicions and making outright declarations, and we need to make sure we keep to the right side of that fine line in order to maintain accuracy.

Also in general, if you are the Northern Italian IP account who added this information, I am getting kind of fed up with the amount of mistakes and hearsay in general you are adding to the wiki. Compared to other people, a relatively large amount of your edits have been reverted for being incorrect, in need of citation, or straight up breaking rules. I looked in my just my edit records and in the past two weeks there were three set of things No source, Spoilers/jumping the gun, wrong country. The rate at which you make mistakes is too high. Please make sure you are matching the Manual of Style and also be more proactive about confirming the information you find online. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 20:18, 22 March 2016 (CET)

Movie 20[edit]

In this movie Rum has a voice actor, but who is? I can't find it. --185.93.230.10 10:14, 20 July 2016 (CEST)

Rum was only given a computerized altered voice, the movie does not list a voice actor. They did this intentionally so that we could not look up what other characters that voice actor / actress might play in the anime series. --695ee1872b493d77ecb9d90efb378286 (talk) 17:50, 20 July 2016 (CEST)

Karasuma Renya[edit]

Besides being a total moonshot of a candidate since this person appeared almost 700 chapters ago, this section also includes unverifiable information (a good chunk of the legend of Karasuma was revealed to be a lie by the end of the case) and misinformation promulgated in bad fan translations. Here is some of the corrected info. User:Chekhov MacGuffin/Karasuma Renya. Second and most importantly, this section contains all sorts of low quality personal speculation such as "The Black Organization has been associated with crows throughout the entire series so Karasuma definately seems to have something to do with the Black Organization." The anagram is wrong too. "UMACKAR/UMASKAR" does not rearrange to "KARASUMA", because "KARASUMA" has 8 letters and three "A"s. There are speculation standards, as explained in the Detective Conan Wiki:Manual of Style and this does not meet them. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 19:01, 10 May 2017 (CEST)

Karasuma Renya[edit]

Karasuma was millionare who died mysteriously 40 years ago at the age of 99. His last name "Karasuma" and "Karasu" mean crow in Japanese. The crest of Karasuma Renya is a crow as well. The Black Organization has been associated with crows throughout the entire series so Karasuma definately seems to have something to do with the Black Organization. The dying message of Kohji Haneda is also a hint. Conan points out that in English, Ca can be spelt as Ka in order to spell Asaka. So what we are left with are "UMASKAR" so what they figure out is if you remove the name of the bodyguard Asaka, you are left with RUM. But what if you rearrange the letters before removing the word Asaka? You get Karasuma. That turned out way to perfect to be a coincidence.

As for his age and how he'd be alive for this long is still unclear. It's possible that his "mysterious death" 40 years ago was actually the result of taking an early stage APTX drug and is now in a younger state. This will tie in to the secret about Vermouth's non-aging process.

Page after identity reveal[edit]

I feel like, we will keep this page as it was before the reveal. All events post reveal can be added to other page. Opinions? --Dark Blizzard (talk) 12:22, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

It's better a single page, nor like Shinichi/Conan or Shiho/Haibara. His secret identity is just like the boss'. "Kanenori Wakita" voice is better.
