AiSuigetsu Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Why? it is good! You might even abandon your intentions of naming yourself the Ice Queen :V wonderful stalking :V
Conia Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 wonderful stalking :V I also edited a minor mistake in there
IdentityUnknown Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Ok, my stand on this: We're not exactly going around convincing people to "be lonely hearts" or even join. What would be the point of a creating an anti-club? I don't know exactly what you have in mind but I don't think there'd be much effect. LHC is a place where people make friends, where people can spend time to help lift each other up despite past disappointments. That was the original purpose, not to go around and say, "Hey, stay single." Besides, LHC is inactive at the moment. So really. What's the point?

Saki-chan, that is a really good argument. <3 @Conia Now you can concentrate on the Stalking Club! \o/

Misaki-chan Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Misaki \o/ And yes, you're near the top of the list of people that I want joining this How are you? \o/ =X Ok, my stand on this: We're not exactly going around convincing people to "be lonely hearts" or even join. Oh how I miss the good ol' days when we added on ten pages in one day... OMM: FM. I still have no clue why saying no to being someone's ally is suspicious... Especially to someone who I never ally even if they offer. =X

I know you don't try to convince people, and just as your united sig says, it is a place to form friendships. Calling it "Anti-LHC" wasn't to go against the LHC (As I said in the original post, it wasn't bad intended or anything of the sort) but to stop a little this trend of deciding to ignore love or other strong feelings that everyone's hearts has, that would be the purpose of it. @Conia Now you can concentrate on the Stalking Club! \o/ I'm not going to become the Leader of a Stalking Club, that's AiSu's place ? I just fixed a typo in it How are you? \o/ =X Quite good \o/ Still need to read like 320 pages of LHC :-x Although I kinda already got what I wanted from it ^^

Then I suggest you name it something other than "Anti-LHC." Even if it isn't a means of attacking LHC, it can be easily taken that way.

Conia Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 The reason why I didn't try to think of a better name is because I never thought of creating a group (Like, creating a thread and start recruiting people) but to voice something that had me concerned. 1

tengaku squared Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Then I suggest you name it something other than "Anti-LHC." Even if it isn't a means of attacking LHC, it can be easily taken that way. If LHC is dead inactive, I see no reason for concern. And honestly, the Lonely Hearts Club wasn't used very well, methinks, although it served its purpose.
IdentityUnknown Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 If LHC is dead inactive, I see no reason for concern. And honestly, the Lonely Hearts Club wasn't used very well, methinks, although it served its purpose. Regardless, I still think it would be better to name it differently.
Conia Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 =X =X =X I see. ;V I just like playing mysterious sometimes @Moho: I agree with IU that (if there's ever a group like that) it should be named differently.
tengaku squared Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Regardless, I still think it would be better to name it differently. Although, yes, "Anti-LHC" sounds antagonistic to LHC (and also like the creation of a lazy person :V), if LHC is out of commission, there is no reason to stop the creation of an Anti-LHC. And let me go off on a tangent here: Clubs should be made for a reason, an explicit reason, and they should stand. If you're going to make a club or what not, YOU are the one responsible regarding that club. If it dies, it dies. LHC died because of a lack of management and mostly, a loss of interest. When the administration loses interest, the club withers. Back to the subject at hand, and this is now delving into my opinion: I am actually incensed by the number of people saying that "I won't love anyone". And I have a feeling this group of people are either 1) stubbornly clinging onto past memories or 2) thinking "I won't love anyone" sounds cool. Now, don't get me wrong here. I'm not trying to insult the people who are members of LHC, I am stating what I am observing. But, not only do I feel there is no reason against an Anti-LHC, I believe there is a reason FOR an Anti-LHC. Although people aren't required to love someone, we can at least stop people from saying "I won't love anyone". I went back on a tangent there, so let me get to the topic on hand. Yes, naming the movement Anti-LHC sounds antagonistic. However, if you consider this: Lonely Hearts Club. That could potentially be antagonistic to people, to what people, I don't know, but there are people who would consider the Lonely Hearts Club to be detriminal. The idea of LHC itself is rather odd: As you said, it is about lifting people from past incidents. Well, we can do that here, in the What's on your Mind. However, the idea Conia has, this idea of Anti-LHC, it cannot be done in this topic. And with that, I conclude my half on, half off topic, rambling, tangent rant. EDIT: I should have made it clear that I'm arguing for an Anti-LHC, but I'm not necessarily supporting the name.
IdentityUnknown Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I am not against a club like that, I'm simply against the name. :V I did not state that I was against Conia doing anything like that, heck I'm not against anyone trying to do it. I simply ask that it be named differently.

Cindy-Chen Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 LHC died? I'm slow. A new member wanted to join....T_T
Cindy-Chen Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Well this is getting awkward. Can anyone explain what ":V" means?
Conia Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 LHC died? I'm slow. A new member wanted to join....T_T It didn't die, it is just inactive. @Moho: start calling it Pro-Heart
