I usually argue with them in my head instead. I've been doing it since 2nd grade. And my dad still thinks I lack self-control on certain areas. :/ Oh well, I have self-control on certain parts of my life and lack it in others. Which usually involves a) my dad storming into my room and yelling at me; or my dad calling me out, sitting me down, and giving a (slightly) calmer discussion often involving my mom and lecturing me for at least 20 minutes. @Lia: For exams...I usually get Bs for Math and then score okay on the rest. My mom would never be satisfied unless I got a perfect score though. And the SATs... *winces* Good luck with that. Good for you. I failed Algebra two years ago... that explains why I took it again last year. I got B for my overall grade last year... everyone scored about the same. What's your definition of 'okay'? I have horrible estimation of standards. 'A' is too good for me, and 'C' is crap for me. Which is why I hated my scores for Humanities and Physics last year. I might cry out of pure joy if I ever get an A. Got it once for Science- but maybe that was in a dream or something. SATs... I'm still studying. And worrying if I will be any good on the Math part. Surprisingly, I got an invitation from CIT...was it? to come over. (Apparently they didn't know a thing about me. :V) My dad told me: "'From what I hear, it's a good choice. But whether you want to go or not, it's up to you." I thought about it for a while. And then...one week later, I replied. I declined. My dad didn't get mad. He sat down on the sofa and said, "I can't make your decisions. It's your life. No point in getting angry about it." He then said, "But whatever your decision is, I'll support it." My mom wasn't around then. Truthfully, I don't really remember why I rejected the offer. Anyways... @IU: Back to college. And yes, my father's Chinese. I'm adopted. I remember once that I even got 13 out of a hundred for a math test... though the highest mark that my class got was 20 but what the... And guess what?
