has anyone heard of siblings born within one year of each other?

Yes, but it's not one year. It's less than 2 or 3 months apart I heard... But they are Fraternal twins. They don't look alike. but sometimes they look really similar.

something about embryology. I might be wrong but when the egg is fertilized, it takes 9 month to fully develop in to a baby.

Some are born earlier like 6 months later, but they are likely to be deformed, or weak....

My brother is born 7 months. 2 months early. His initial development was slow... But he is ok now. He's rather intelligent too. :)

That makes sense.

See, they are fraternal twins. They are developed from 2 different eggs... if they were identical, they should have been both boy or both girl. there can't be identical twins that are one boy and one girl. It's all in genetics.
