  1. Well that scenario was just to explain the "sayonara" part. I agree that she was likely knocked out and put in. Likely the trigger was placed as she was going out or on a timer. Otherwise what reason would she have for saying that? Since we know its not suicide, she needed a reason to say that at that time. Unless you think she was saying good-bye as to call off the marriage being the original intent. Which would again point to the fiance. Doing so would make it too easy (though, knowing Gosho, that would be the most likely). There is also the possibility that all that is a red herring to throw us off. It wouldn't be the first time Gosho has done that. I currently have a few theories, but I can't confirm anything until we have more background information from the suspects. For the record, I don't believe Bourbon is involved with this murder. And, yeah Chek, there is that, but for some reason I get the feeling there was more to that than it being one of their people. I get the feeling that Vermouth is playing with a loaded deck if you will. So while that may be part of it... I get the feeling there is more to it. @Martell, the fact the phone was there might be why she was awoken. In fact, if it was a bomb (or other detonation device connected to a fuel), her phone could have been linked to the satnav system, which was connected to the detonation device. In doing so calling her would activate the timer, while giving her time to talk and confirm the murderer's alibi. It would also serve to destroy any evidence of setting that system up, because there would be no way to link the number to the detonation device. They could only determine that a remote detonator was used. If done right, the evidence would be almost completely destroyed. Also, it would cast doubt on other people, allowing the murderer to escape without suspicion, because the person who called her, the fiance, would be the primary suspect.
  2. It is possible that there was a bomb indicator that tipped her off to knowing there was no way to get out of it. Either a message from the murderer, or some strange knowledge of bombs and their indicators. There are a few possibilities, but there is not enough information until next week.
  3. Agreed. Korean BBQ is amazing.
  4. I just read it. And so far I think that Amuro is Bourbon with what little info we have. However, Gosho seems to like putting red herrings in the form of people drinking the namesake drink. As for Scar Akai, I always thought it was someone in a mask. However, Gosho needs to make a good reason why the disguise was so good. For that reason, I believe that Vermouth was in on it, be it Bourbon or one of her underlings doing her bidding. If Scar Akai is Bourbon, and he did not have help with the mask from Vermouth, Gosho needs to explain how he was able to make such a disguise that was good enough to fool Akai's partner. It would not surprise me in the least to learn that the person drinking bourbon is also a detective. That would be the red herring along with Okiya, who is most likely to be Akai. If all of this is true, then I am really getting disappointed by Gosho, because he is starting to make it too easy... edit: Oh and as for the case... Lack of evidence! The DNA found on the brush matches the DNA under the fingernail? Gosho... Gosho... Gosho... The only DNA that can be taken from that brush is Mitochondrial DNA unless he pulled his hair out from the root while it was living. Otherwise you aren't getting any DNA from it that can be used to positively match the culprit. Mitochondrial DNA is the same over generations originating from the mother. That said, if it is his brush it is also possible that other people have used it, including his fiance. They never confirmed or denied the presence of multiple DNA samples on the brush either. Gosho must clear up these issues by the end of the case.
  5. Yeah... after... I sent that from my droid so the video didn't come up... But ya know... It is so awesome it deserved being shared twice.

  7. Not at all, but it is awesome none the less. This video does have to do with science though...

    The 23 Enigma

Bored people made this up... And we all know that there is no significance in 23... now 42 on the other hand is a different story entirely.
  9. "Don't know why you say good-bye I say hello"? <3 Welcome to DCW.
  10. I wish! Taking over the world would be far more fun!

  11. Just want to show this cool video...

  13. -sigh- fine.... In general my favorite is korean, with indian and thai coming in second and third. I actually don't like japanese as much as I used to. And parkur, yes, american chinese isn't really chinese at all. I'm fortunate enough to live in a place where I have the opportunity to have real chinese food. A lot of my chinese friends refuse to eat at those restaurants. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  14. The mere fact that they have to make an effort worries me... I'm thinking that they'll continue on their current path and movies will continue to degrade I do hope I am wrong though... would be nice...
  15. Can I just say all of the above? Though I have to say, I was more or less forced to like Korean by my TKD/HKD master... He would take out the higher ranking to dinner, and when he told you to eat something "no" was not an answer he accepted. Same goes for Soju... Granted I haven't had Malaysian, Singaporean or Viet in long while... Nor REAL Chinese for that matter (The crap they have at most American Chinese restaurants is NOT Chinese.)
  16. You should make your own intro thread instead of hi-jacking Aye's <3 That way you get your own personal welcomes :)

Welcome to DCW! I hope you enjoy your stay ;)

  17. I have learned one thing... Forums + Politics = Bad. It just doesn't lead to good things. I believe CC will feel the same... But enjoy your discussions, I'll not be participating...
  18. Wow... I'm getting really close to 100 reps. I always find it strange that half the time I have no idea where they come from...

Rohit, the problem is that I do, usually the past 5. Half the time they come from there, the other half... well... I don't know. And I'm not going back through all of my old posts

  19. Even the CDC thinks you should be prepared! I've been prepared for the past 5 years. If you are prepared for zombies you are prepared for anything! But I have no doubts that it will be a scientific experiment gone awry that causes it in the end. It just makes sense.
  20. You know... Reading MM's description... I'm highly tempted to change my username to "Bill Nye" when the opportunity arises... just for kicks. As for that statement... I am a scientist, yes... but I'm more on the biochemical and molecular biological side of things. Welcome to DCW. If you hadn't deduced it, I too am a Shiho Miyano/Ai Haibara fan. She is awesome.
  21. You got it all wrong... Science doesn't eat your brain... This is the progression... Science creates virus... Virus mutates... Virus begins to kill humans and reanimate hosts... Viruses thus creates zombies... Zombies eat your brain... You see? The progression is actually quite long and not immediate at all! Unless you decide to inject yourself with a flesh eating virus into your head... But that is just stupid.
  22. OVA and movies are noncanon, and thus don't exist in my mind for discussions such as these. I follow manga canon. And some I'd rather never existed... I hated Kid in movie 8. Mainly because even if he knew, he wouldn't do that because it would implicate his cover if he was discovered... Also taking out the fun of figuring out who Kid is ruins the fun of having Kid as a character.
  23. What are you talking about? Kid never impersonated Kudo. According to the manga kid still doesn't know. I'm talking about Aoko... Of she learns that kid has a fear of fish it won't take a genius to be suspicious of him. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  24. Pretty certain they aren't metal....
  25. Here: this is what searching reveals... It is under (unsurprisingly) "News and Updates." The fact that you cannot read and responded in such a childish manner means that you need to find a more juvenile forum, because, even among the youngest of users, every user here conducts themselves in a mature manner. This forum is what one would consider a "mature" forum atmosphere. So you have two choices, grow up (as in start typing properly and wording your complaints in a calm and mature manner, and of course using the search function) or leave. This is a fantastic community and all users are intelligent and generally well spoken, including those users whom are not native English speakers. We appreciate your input and it will be ignored. Please either change your attitude or leave.
