Update: If DCW is inaccessible or has messages of malware, the IRL round(s) in progress will be put on hold until messages are cleared and accessibility is restored. After messages are cleared and accessibility restored, players have three days to try to make it back. I'm really sorry for everything that's been happening to the players of the current round and would like to amend this as soon as possible. I'd also like to apologize to everyone for everything that's been happening and take full responsibility for it. In particular, I'd like to say sorry to Lovestruck, who I treated unfairly despite everything that was going on. Since things have become difficult to manage, DCW IRL is put on hold until after Christmas, and possibly even after that depending on the circumstances. Again, I'm sorry for the way I've been acting for the past couple of days. It was immature, irresponsible, and rude. Any questions should be messaged to me.

I'm not denying that you created your own character. I meant that your character did not plan to appear on the show, you were randomly selected. And I'm sorry if you were pissed off. Due to so many problems with Chrome and DCW, I'm putting this round on hold. It probably will be discontinued.

(By the way, by "completed the challenge" I mean your mini challenge, not the overall one. You get points for completing that challenge based on creativity, thoughtfulness, and luck [aka random.org]. This main challenge will end on Sunday midnight Eastern Standard Time and you'll learn what you "scored" then. The score isn't that important unless you want a hint as to how to win the Miracle Show.)

With a shock, Misaki teleports to the crystal ball. She falls to the floor, wincing in pain, then lighting up with surprise as she sees the crystal ball in front of her. "Congratulations, you've chosen the potion that sends you to the crystal ball!" the Voice shouted. "Now the only question is, how are you going to get everyone here?" ~~~ Misaki has completed her challenge. Congratulations! Now the question is, did she choose the one she wanted...

"Whoops." Those are the last words Sakila and Amber hear before they are engulfed in black smoke that erupts from the umbrella. The piece of paper reads, "Sorry, belated trap!" (You have both now been teleported to different rooms.)

(Your appearance there wasn't planned by you.) It appears that Moho forgot about helping me out, so we'll ignore that and continue on. Wicky has not posted since the 5th. Since I wasn't here, I'll give him one more day to post.) In front of Misaki appears seven bottles, each a different color and shape. "Well, you've stumbled upon a trivia trap!" the Voice announces. "You'll have to choose the right bottle to consume to make it through. Two of the bottles will leave you in a completely different room with a handicap, one of the bottles will teleport you to the crystal ball, one of the bottles will pull you temporarily out of commission, and the other three bottles will each open a different door. Remember, even if you get to the crystal ball, none of your teammates will be there and if they aren't there, your trip is useless! "By the way, just so this isn't just a game of guess and check, there's a set of clues on the table. Choose wisely!" Misaki hurries over to the desk and reads the clues. "Red like roses Orange like juice Yellow like sunlight Green like ivy Blue like the sea Purple like witchcraft And changes like your mind Now which one of us could be the one you seek?" (For Misaki's reference, the colors of the bottles are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and black/white (the colors change in this one).)

Hurricane - 30 Seconds to Mars

(Do you normally carry two knives in your boots? And most people I know aren't particularly skilled at getting through laser beams that easily. One-person challenges probably won't be quite as entertaining, but I'd like you to struggle and find ways to get through each challenge. A story's not fun if you're sure that the hero always wins. (I'd recommend you get someone to fill in for you since that's four days that you won't be here. Just in case. I can pull you "out of commission" as well, which I'll save your role in though you won't be able to do anything.)

(...So, let's try to keep things realistic here.)

(I'm going to be being a very active moderator...to the point where it may seem like I'm RPing with you. I may randomly put you 'out of commission'...this will not last for more than a day. I will generally do this to mix up the story line and those who are out of commission will gain one clue about how to "win" the Miracle Show.) Tsukiko walks through two more doors, carving triangles along the way to attempt from getting lost. By now, she has no clue where exactly she is. She steps into the next room. As the door closes shut behind her, a set of red bars appear. Lasers! She steps back in shock, her grip on her knife loosening and it slides into the middle of the floor between the laser beams. It's too far for her to reach and she can't crawl underneath the bars. Panicked, she reaches for the doorknob of the door behind her but it's locked. The Voice appears again. "Welcome to your first challenge!" it exclaims. "My, my, this is an exciting one you've stumbled upon. Get through the laser beams without touching them and you'll be able to pass through this room smoothly. Touch one of them and you'll be transported to a completely different room without your knife!" ~~~ Each of you will have challenges, I just decided to go with Tsukiko first since she was one of the first ones I saw. For reference for the lasers... The rooms do not look like the one above. The rooms are square with four doors in total (including the one you walk through to get into the room). There is one lightbulb in the room. Some (very few) are dark. Floors are wooden. Rooms all look normal upon entry, though some may reveal themselves as challenges or traps. The room itself is very plain, cream colored walls, no designs (unless it's a challenge), etc. When a contestant is in a challenge, you will not be able to find them. The game show (after each major challenge, this one being the maze) will score your effort. The person who earns the most points gets a boost (a hint in the challenge, a clue, a headstart, etc.) For the sake of fun, no one will be eliminated. By the way, during the challenge, other contestants are allowed to post, however Tsukiko will be isolated. Challenges can involve more than one person.

(NPCs will be created as needed. If a player feels the need for more/less NPCs, please message the moderator. NPCs should not be created without permission and will mainly be controlled by the moderator unless said otherwise. As this is a game show, there should not be much need for NPCs. )

I'm going to ask you to pause this round. If Rose returns as expected, she carries on with this round, though with a warning. A mod should post him/herself if he/she is leaving and assign a member who is not participating to moderate the round. I love you and I know you well, KKLT, but I don't think a player should be the moderator. I doubt it will happen with you, but with other people, it will result in bias. A moderator is supposed to be unbiased and it's difficult even for the most experienced. If I allow an exception this time, then in the end, people will probably end up completely ignoring the rule. I'll look into this round with more depth (honestly speaking I have not been tracking this round) and come up with further solutions. While you're waiting for Rose to return, I'm going to ask you all to design an NPC. Not create, design. Write their bio, post it here (no discussion here please), and when Rose returns in time, you can take a vote on the best 2-3 NPCs just so all of you have more flexibility. I'll talk to her about the current round as well. EDIT: I'll be following this round more closely now and double-checking your activity. If Rose is not back by Thursday (I'll be asking someone to make sure for me as I'm leaving fairly early and don't want to be unfair to Rose since I didn't get back to this thread until a few days after she was gone), this thread will be closed. I'm sorry to those who really enjoyed it, but I don't know if I can find a suitable moderator at this time and without notice.

Don't post for the time being. She's been gone for two days and she should know better than to just leave a thread hanging like that. You make it sound like we're condemning someone and you don't agree with my judgement. An RP round is difficult to manage without someone somewhat maintaining the flow. And like all of you said, this thread is not going anywhere without Rose and with just the players guiding it.

(Due to complaint from the players, this round has been frozen. Lovestruck, I'm giving you two days (one more than you should have) to start this up again. If you don't make progress with this round, it will be discontinued.)

(For my amusement, the rooms are all identical.)

Lights flash, the music playing again, and you shield your eyes and turn your head away. Suddenly, there's this dropping sensation and...is the electricity you hear? A low humming? The hairs on the back of your neck stand up as you're zapped with something. Before you can realize what it is, you land in a random room. None of the other contestants are in it, but there are four doors... You have an overwhelming urge to throw up now. What is with these people and transportation? "You're all in a different room of an endlessly large maze!" The Voice shouts gleefully. "Your goal? Find the room in the middle, avoid any...uh...traps, and touch the crystal ball! This challenge, you'll have to work together, because the crystal ball will only activate and send you back when all five contestants have placed their hand on it simultaneously! Good luck!"
