Haibane Renmei Definitely better than Serial Experiments Lain, but still lacked some of the emotion I was hoping from this series. The world is gorgeous though; very dreamlike and picturesque European setting. There's this one soundtrack that's pretty nice, too. I don't think I could truly connect to any of the characters, though the final episode was solid to say the least. Hard to say I can recommend it, but it's there, haha. I'll probably be starting Kino no Tabi later today.

Death Parade's ED

Yeah, I was blinded by horizontally falling snow and had my ears practically freeze off while walking home today. Loved every minute of it.

I'm fairly certain it's played a few times in a few of the very early episodes. Someone needs to fact check me on this though, since it's been a long time since I've watched those episodes.

The forecast changed, but seriously though 9-13 inches tonight and then 7-11 inches tomorrow is still absolutely insane. And then we're going to be hit by something new Thursday going into Friday.

So when all those variables cancel out, in the end you just want to be living...?

I think that's more of a coincidence than anything. There was this entire Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san episode that was devoted to parodying Conan cases. They had that door transition to the commercial break and everything. Golden stuff right there. The entire anime is NSFW, so do mind what you Google.

Have a laptop, but I practically treat that sucker like a desktop since I never move it from where it is. When I go off to college though, I'll be lugging it everywhere I go. Desktops are just too impractical for a college student.

That's a great song. Maybe I'm just weird, but I've always felt the lyrics were some kind of metaphor for stargazing. Something along the lines of the second half of Bakemonogatari's 12th episode. I wasn't a huge fan of the series as a whole, but that scene was undeniably beautiful.

Oh man, I'm so envious! That game's been on my plan-to-buy list for nearly a year now. 999 was awesome.

Episode 15 is out. I don't think I've ever seen CGI people used so poorly before. Has this director/producer/who ever is in charge never made an anime before? Using CGI people is a good way to cut down on animation that could be used for more action packed scenes and it's practically an unavoidable technique with people's expectations of good animation being stricter than ever nowadays, but to use blatantly obvious CGI people as the core focus point for a few seconds was just stupid. I don't think I saw CGI people at all up until now, so the effect was jarring to say the least. CGI should only be used for small, sometimes blurred out people in the background, where your eyes aren't focused, and nothing else. Really disappointed. By the way, if you somehow missed the moment I was talking about, it was when the policemen all dog piled on each other.
