But not too deep: She's cried in File 1 (Case Aftermath), File 9 (Shinichi), File 16 (Case Aftermath), File 48 (Shinichi), File 71 (Shinichi), File 95 (Shinichi), File 143 (Case Aftermath), File 260 (Shinichi), File 334 (Shinichi), File 353/File 354 (Flashback – Case Aftermath), File 379/File 380 (Shinichi), File 428 (Shinichi), File 482 (Shinichi/Case Aftermath), File 650/File 651 (Shinichi), File 727 (Shinichi), File 745/File 752 (Shinichi), File 884 (Flashback – Shinichi) File 921/File 922/File 923/File 924 (Flashback – Frustration/Case Aftermath/Shinichi) and File 931/933 (Zombie Movie and Zombie encounter). Thats a total of 20 times—in a total 27 Files—12 times exclusively due to Shinichi, 4 times exclusively due to the aftermath of a case, 1 time due to Shinichi and the aftermath of a case, and 1 time when the aftermath of a case, Shinichi, and simple frustration all happened across 4 files... and then there were two instances due to zombie movie and a "zombie" encounter. I don't think I missed any, but I could be wrong about that. She cried in 6 of the 130 Files before her second suspicion arc began, cried only once during her second suspicion arc, cried 5 times between her second and third suspicion arcs, cried during her third, just one case-long, suspicion arc, and has cried 7 times since the last suspicion arc. In all, she's cried in 19 of the 273 cases, and 27 of the 945 Files.

Shuukichi Haneda Discussion Thread

Apologies for the double-post. Cross-posting from DCTP forums: Went to http://manhua.dmzj.com/kenan/ to get Volume scans for the sleeves from Volume 67 and Volume 81, as well as the original releases. The site doesn't have Volume 85, so there's just the original file scan of File 899. Does anyone have Volume 85 scans for File 899, Page 2? File 702 Volume 67, File 702 File 899 Volume 85, File 899 File 860 Volume 81, File 860 -
I made a post on that for the manga cases—let me dig it up.

I don't know how many people already know about this, and/or know what it says, but here's a fan-made File 921, with a different story, made by a user (or users) from Tieba Baidu: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3734091862?pid=67740615651 I don't think it was ever followed up on.

Not really. She just cries more than the other characters usually do, which isn't actually much.

[SPOILER DISCUSSION] File 945-947 Shuukichi's Envelope Case
DCUniverseAficionado replied to a topic in Manga series
If I recall correctly, the case with Itakura and Shinichi's/Conan's attempt to capture Vodka explicitly took place in February, and part of that case, indeed, came out in February of 2002. So, yes, Gosho does adhere to real world seasons as they come and go. I suppose, then, if this calendar was shown to us to hint it's importance in subsequent files of the case, it would play a role in helping them solve the code sheet and getting the password. Still, Gosho actually answered the question of how long it had been since File 1 with the case that came out during the 20th anniversary (Aquarium Case, December 2013–January 2014), so at least that was in his mind. It's not like he ever needed to answer the question in the first place, after all. Even once the end of the manga is reached, cases would have to be cut, weather would have to be changed and all mentions of specific months and dates would need to be shifted/removed (keeping the relevance of the latter two to certain cases in mind for cases that are affected by the weather and months/dates) for a coherent timeline to even begin to be established... and we'd have to do it—I'd say it's 99.9% probable that Gosho has no intent of retconning and rearranging things for the sake of a timeline, once he finally finishes DC. -
Irish is a character from a movie—all DC movies are non-canon, so it doesn't matter.

I think we may figure this out come the end of the current case. -

He's never really had an internal monologue about it, so we don't really know if he cares or not. -

But still not as much as Movie 5. The other movies wish they could emulate Die Hard like that. -
Shuukichi Haneda Discussion Thread
DCUniverseAficionado replied to Chekhov MacGuffin's topic in Manga series
If he appears, maybe—depends on how much of the status quo Gosho wishes to keep intact after this case. Given that Gosho revealed certain plot information—information that still preserved the status quo upon revelation—during the last two stories with Shukichi and Yumi, we might still be at an impasse. At this point, though, I'll take any info. -
Oh, and then there's that. Speaking of the file in question, if there's a red herring there, then is there a real hint, in the same place (Red herring: Haneda; Hint: Toyoda)?
-
Missed my point—why does it matter if she's another victim? In my opinion, it doesn't. She's way too mature to be just 12-15 years old. I really don't see any option but her turning out to be the mother of Shuichi, Shukichi and Masumi.

Movie 19: Sunflowers of Inferno

Ah, the inadequacy of pure text communication... probably should've added some emoticons, though. -
Of course it should—everything that happened during 1994–1997 is the basis for everything in the series. Honestly, what's one more? Two people is way more than enough—there are people who refused to touch the series because such an impossible thing happened to just one person.

Seems kind of redundant to call for interest and then cry, "BOREDOM!" Here's a better way to go: -

Any prior secret nights, for the other movies? If so, what did they entail? -
[SPOILER DISCUSSION] File 945-947 Shuukichi's Envelope Case
DCUniverseAficionado replied to a topic in Manga series
You did not disappoint. In any case, we'll have to wait two weeks for an answer. -
I think there might be a Rum-related/BO case in April (around the time The Darkest Nightmare releases, on the 16th)—I think we might just get a better sense of things, then. After all, all we know is that Rum apparently has a prosthetic eye and that there have been varying descriptions given out by various BO members, and that was info given to us in September 2014—it's been a while since Gosho's given us anything, on that front.

This makes Season 23 the shortest season since Season 4 (and maybe a few others, but I'm sure Season 4 was definitely short, in terms of the number of episodes it contained).

Then you're talking about a confession scene with him and Shuichi/Subaru—yes, that hasn't yet happened. In fact, we haven't had a conversation between only Conan and Subaru, with them both speaking to each other like Shinichi Kudo would speak to Shuichi Akai—about the BO, etc. -
And that sounds like a good lead-in to Rum's appearance on the scene. Speaking of which, what do you think of Rum, as in a character who's the boss' right-hand?
