  7. Any memeber who can solve this case will recieve a reputation point and another prize of their choosing; (Another rep. point, choose a topic for a story, extra clues on my next case, etc.) Case File 2: This morning a Beika City resident returned home from a business trip to find his brother dead in their apartment. Hotel personnel had to unlock the room for him when his sibling didn't answer his greeting. The deceased, Hamoto Kirio, was hanging in his bedroom by a homemade noose. On the desk beside the bed was a suicide note, and an empty bottle of sleeping pills was found. Police believe he attempted take his own life with an overdose of medicine, but he didn't have enough, and when that failed he hung himself. The time of death was discovere to be around 9:30 pm yesterday. Despite the heavy evidence, a detective suspects foul play. Suspects: Hamoto Tsuji, the victim's brother. Motive: Kirio-san was an avid gambler who spent all his earnings at Pachinko parlors and racetracks. When he was kicked out of his apartment, unable to pay the rent, he moved in with his brother. Tsuji-san was patient and even helped the deceased get a job in the area, but Kirio spent his last five months living off of his brother and never once paying a share of rent. Alibi: He was on a business trip from two days ago until he began his drive home around 10 this morning. From 8 to midnight last night he was out playing mahjong with friends from work. He even left a voicemail on his brother's home phone. Afterwards, he returned to his hotel room alone and slept. In the morning he checked out of the hotel and headed back to the apartment. Ootori Nakura, who lives in the same apartment as the brothers. Motive: He once dated the deceased's girlfriend, but still remained friends with both Kirio and her. He gains nothing monetarily by Kirio's death, but often argued with him about his spending habits. Alibi: He works with Tsuji-san, and therefore was on the same business trip an hour away from home. From 9-11 pm last night he was alone in his hotel room watching television. He left a voicemail message on the house-phone as well, and left this morning when the police called and told him what had happened. Itsurio Miki, Kirio's girlfriend. Motive: She was happy to lend her boyfriend money, but believed he was spending it on beer. Her father had died of alcohol poisoning, and in an arguement she reportedly shouted, "If you become an alcoholic, I'll seriously kill you!" Alibi: She was at home with her mother from 5 pm to when she heard the news of Kirio's death this morning. She called his home phone and left a voicemail as well. 8. The case was already solved, and so here's a hint: the murderer had an accomplice, but the accomplice didn't know that the man was going to be killed.

  9. Hint: The murderer's alibi is gone if you look closely at another person's motive.

  10. eh? What does blad mean?

  11. Hey. Does the script murder thing I sent work, or should I change anything?

  12. Sure :)

Clue: The murderer's alibi will be broken by someone elses motive. (Study them closely and you'll find a secret possibility. Also, if there was an accomplice, they didn't know the victim was killed.

  13. That wasn't what happened. I guess my profile thing wasn't specific enough. :(

Read the forum post for details please. :)

  14. Probably avoid being really close to them. Also act like I don't like them at all. What would you do if you find someone who needs help but is being ignored?
  15. Depends on what country you are in and the morals of the spouses. Is it possible to protect someone who doesn't want to be protected?
  16. Sorry, I should have been more clear. It takes 30 minutes to go home, commit the murder, and get back. They left the theater at 3:55. Sorry....
  17. Great! Post your answer in the forum, and I'll go over it. :)

  18. I had to rewrite it cuz my computer messed up when I tried to post it, but here's part four. (Hopefully still ok) Conan watched the sky, so much grayer than it had been in the morning, as the dove drew further away, thinking. Why are you interested in the case? he asked himself as the sense of being observed abated. Then he turned back to the Detective Boys, who were whispering amongst themselves. He couldn't hear everything, but Ayumi said at some point, "But what about Ai-chan?" Now Conan understood why he had felt so strongly that he was being followed. He mentally kicked himself for not realizing she was there. Had it been the Organization, Conan had no doubt he'd be dead already. "You brought Haibara, didn't you?" Although hesitant to answer, when Conan explained Ran's situation, they muttered, "Hai." He watched as Ayumi skipped around the righthand corner of the alleyway they stood in, calling, "Ai-chan, you can come out now! Ai-chan..." Moments later she returned, her eyes tearing up. "Ai-chan isn't here!" she whimpered. Conan stood frozen, staring at the ground. Vermouth? he thought. No, Haibara would have felt her presence and come out of hiding. Unless she decided to give herself up to protect them...He gazed at the Detective Boys for a moment, then back at his shoes. No. He would never let himself believe that. "I'm sure she's with Ran," he said, as much to convince himself as his friends. "Alright," Mitsuhiko and the others shouted, wearing ridiculously determined expressions. "Shounen tantei-dan are on the case!" With that they ran off in the direction of Agasa's house, and Conan watched them go with an amused half-smile. He was glad; Agasa would keep them out of danger, and as long as Haibara was with Ran, she was safe... for now. Ran, he thought. Wait for me. I'll be there by 9... Conan frowned and sprinted to Mouri-san's house, retrieving his skateboard, which he rode to the Haido City Shopping Mall. Hopping of the board, he jogged inside, heading straight to the bookshop where Ran was last seen. Conan went straight to the mystery section, scanning the shelves for, "The Hound of the Baskervilles," which he had asked Ran for from Shinichi's phone. His prized copy was still in Osaka after a case, and Hattori refused to return it unless Conan declared him a better detective. When he'd found the stack of novels, he studied each one, searching for a hidden clue or message from Ran. At the prickling between his shoulderblades, he glanced to eachside, but saw only a college-aged man in a gray jacket looking through the Agatha Christie novels. The man with red-brown hair and rectangular glasses shifted his stance as he examined a copy of "Death on the Nile. Conan stammered, "S-Subaru-san?" Okiya turned at the mention of his name, frowning as he saw who it was that had spoken to him. "Conan-kun? Shouldn't you be home eating dinner?" he asked. Dinner? His gaze flickered to his watch; 5:53. Damn! Only three hours left!"
