This is a message from all of the friendly staff members of Detective Conan World's message board to you, our members. Please take time out to read it. We are close knit community here at DCW, and we like to watch out for each other, so we would like to remind everyone here of a few general guidelines on how to be safe on the internet. This website consists mostly of teens and young adults, many of which are legally underage by law. If you receive any kind suggestive solicitation or request for cybersex from any user, even one you have known a while and trust, tell a moderator about it. This kind of thing is strictly not allowed on DCW because of the ages of our general user population, and there will be permanent ban for anyone found looking for or using underaged DCW members to engage in "internet romance". From a personal safety standpoint, be careful of people who are looking for internet romance on websites like DCW, even if you have known them for a while, you trust them, and they are kind to you. It could very well be possible that they are USING you, and playing to your emotions. They may not care to care about you emotionally, they will cheat on you, and they will drop you as soon as they are bored. They will say otherwise, but that's very commonly how it goes. They may even stalk you, and it can get worse and scarier from there. Detective Conan World is not the relationship police. If you want to pursue a relationship on here knowing full-well the consequences, it is up to you to work that out if you are of legal age. However, if we learn that another user is soliciting cybersex on this forum, then it will not be tolerated and will lead to a permanent ban of that said-user. This site is pretty light-hearted and fun, but once something like that happens then we have no choice but to put our foot down. No exceptions. No matter how much of a well-regarded member you are around here. Please, stay safe and please report anything sketchy that someone else tells you to the moderators. Thank you all!!

Earthquake in Japan on the first day of 2012?! not even an hour into the new year Japan was hit by a 7.0 earthquake. a moment of silence please?

An example would be that when my secret Santa didn't create me something, she offered to do something for me instead despite probably being busy. It's nice to know there is such a thoughtful person existing on this earth. :') This isn't really a drawing ....>___> but I'm not really sure where to put this, so I hope this is okay ^ ^; oh, and Happy New Years~!!

Clap, clap. Now, if we all remembered this happened a month or two from now, I'll be surprised. And besides, like KKLT said, Japan's fared worse. They've survived sunamis and earthquakes, they've survived the nuclear bomb.

I'm sure they'll be able to deal with it. They dealt with so many other worse disasters. We have to believe in them. There have been no damage reported though. The only danger is the start of a tsunami due to the earthquake since heir earthquake preparations have been pretty well done. So let's hope that everything would be fine.

May they be able to recover soon....

In truth, it won't be too bad to see more of it in DC, especially for the main characters. Also, there really isn't much development in characters in DC, is there?

I think Gosho had a contingency plan for an early end. Sherry was introduced in the chapter Akemi died as a silhouette showing Gosho had her in mind for a very long while and could use her if he was forced to end early. If you look at Okino Yoko, she had three cigarettes and a statue of liberty lighter in her apartment although she was never shown smoking since. Personally, I think she was supposed to be Vermouth, but then Gosho decided to recreate Vermouth as Chris/Sharon Vineyard when he realized he didn't have to rush because his ratings were good. Okino became a plain spare character.

Hiccups, the guy probably mentioned he had hiccups (Conan realised because of Genta sneezing and trying to stop it) and knew the woman would try to shock him out of it (it's already shown she can try to be dramatic with the Halloween outfit earlier) the knife was probably the closest thing available so he just had to mention nearby to it and he could safely predict she would use it to shock him. Plus, it fits in with the voicemail and her saying 'did it stop?'. Other than that, I think the 'heart' is like a xxx y'know... so the sender is likely a female friend who recognises the symptoms. Thoughts on Chapter 802 -So the husband WAS seeking affirmation for self-defense. I’m not sure if my deduction is 100% correct, but I believe that Takushi stole Sumika’s cell phone during the morning and self-placed it near the barbecue area (where he knew that guests would gather up by). So later when guests arrive, he would mention an email that will be coming from his boss, knowing that his wife would broadcast her belligerence in front of the kids. Then when they went inside in search for Takushi’s cell phone (which I believe was intentionally misplaced by Takushi as well), he knew his wife would snatch away his phone (out of curiosity that it really was his boss who emailed him) and call her own cell phone with it (as an excuse for her perusing afterwards). Takushi, being aware that one of the children would show up with his wife’s phone, said something (I will elaborate on what he might’ve said later) that provoked her into attacking him with a knife (and of course, with Ayumi as a witness). With Sumika’s hands occupied with a knife, he probably took back his cell phone (so that he can stop the voicemail after she yells, “Die!”) and then countered her attack by stabbing her right lung (after Ayumi leaves to call the others), thus leaving an impression that it was for self-defense. -But I am stumped about a couple of things. First, what purpose did the cup of water serve? Did she really have some sort of sickness going on? For some reason, I have a hunch that she has a bipolar disorder and the medicine she possibly took was used to suppress it (which would explain her drastic mood changes). But I’m not positive that this is the case. Second, who sent Sumika an email concerning her health issues? Does the heart at the end of the message insinuate that SHE is the one who’s the cheater? Maybe this could be the motive for Takushi’s stabbing of his wife. Third, why did Conan say, “Don’t tell me… He used that to make the wife…” after Genta’s sneeze fest? Did it have something to do with Agasa averting Genta’s sneezes by using that finger trick? Conan probably realized the trick Takushi used to set off Sumika. Perhaps Takushi mentioned emails he saw on HER phone or something about the health issue she has (not exactly sure what yet), anything that would trigger Sumika’s raging hormones. Lastly, why would Takushi stab his wife in her right lung? If he was trying to murder her, wouldn’t it be better to have stabbed her in the heart, which would have guaranteed immediate death, instead? Maybe it really was a struggle for him; he cannot control where to stab her if Sumika is resisting (and it would be too late to stab her in the heart afterwards if Conan and the kids already arrived at the crime scene). -And yes, it is finally implied that Subaru Okiya is truly Akai Shuichi!

It is maybe the worst idea I've ever had, and I would be disgusted if this person is the boss (because I like that character), but some elements seem to be in adequation with what detectiveshinichi said a year ago and with the Anokata wiki page. Nanatsu no Ko, the melody behind the boss phone number, is a children song telling the story of seven baby crows. While it could be a coincidence, according to Akemi Miyano, Black Organization members are dressed in black like crows. So there is a huge possibility that the Nanatsu No Ko number is indeed deliberate and that the boss has some kind of affinity with that song. While at the same time, it seems unlikely that the boss of a criminal organization would have some liking for children songs. Children songs are more adapted for a elementary school teacher like Kobayashi whose love for children is well-known. Weel, except for Agasa, Kobayashi is also well known for her love for detective stories. But, unlike the professor whose quizzes are lame, Kobayashi was shown to be able to create good mystery games from the names of the children, showing she has some ability. Seriously, who could imagine Kobayashi being the boss ? Even now, I find it hard to believe. Kobayashi was introduced in file 154, some time before Haibara's first appearance (to which she was present), but she became a more recurring and important character from chapter 505 onward, during a plot set just between the showdown between the FBI and the Black Organization at Mouri's agency and Eisuke Hondo's first appearance. In Zeta Gundam, Hayato Kobayashi is the leader of the Karaba group Amuro Ray is part of (if the speculation about Tooru being a BO member are true, which I still doubt to be honest). So there is indeed some connection between the name Kobayashi and the leader of an organization in a work Aoyama has acknowledged. But it's not a decisive evidence, far from it ! Gin often calls the boss "that person" which doesn't allow gender's identification. But maybe there's more. Maybe he says "that person" because he doesn't want to be more explicit. Maybe he doesn't really like the boss, while still obeying its orders. And I could understand why he wouldn't like someone like Kobayashi. The french version confused me on that one. "L'homme avec qui vous avez - paraît-il - une aventure est-il présent aux funérailles ?". Meaning she has a male lover. I thought it was either an allusion to the boss or to Gin. I was wrong for Gin. Vermouth and he haven't made a "martini" for quite some time when they met again in the jazz restaurant. But the french version was in fact assuming that Vermouth's lover was a man. In fact, in the english translation, the gender is unclear. They just say her "lover". So the lover could be a woman. To be honest, it's hard for me to imagine the kind and child-like Kobayashi being the boss, but that's also why I haven't thought of her until now. Even if she is indeed the boss, I don't think she's faking her care for children (her vocation wouldn't have anything to do with Conan and Ai, but she would nonetheless be in good position). She loves them as she has some kind of childish nature herself. But maybe she doesn't love everyone as much as she loves children. There are also some strange comments by times like "I'm worried about the ones that sneaks behind our backs without showing themselves, like Vermouth." (during the case which marked Kobayashi's return in the series as a more recurring character) and "Believing women will never change is just the wishful thinking of men. They will change, giving men a taste of their own medecine, Angels can also change into demons. The heart of a woman is like the weather in Autumn !" (which sounded like a warning to Shiratori. It was during this case that the love story between Shiratori and Kobayashi began). Now, the three main reasons I have difficulties with Kobayashi being the boss: -She really doesn't seem like a bad person at all and it would be hard to imaginate her as the boss of an important criminal organization while she has difficulties with a class of elementary students. -She is 26 years old. And it's not faked by fountain of youth or whatever because she met Shiratori as a young girl. The boss is surely an older person. -Haibara doesn't feel anything near her. Meaning a lot of time. But maybe that could add to her "surprise". But I also admit those are preconceived ideas with no elements corroborating them. We just don't know much about the boss, but from what we know Kobayashi could fit the pattern. But that wouldn't be at all the boss as I imagined him/her to be. Or else, as I said at the beginning, maybe that's the most stupid idea I've ever had. And I hope so because I would be shocked. I like her character and she is close to the detective boys (especially lately). She just seems to be a kind and honest person, like Ran.

I originally drew Conan but I gave up since I'm hopeless at drawing people. This didn't exactly turn out as well as I hoped it would, but here it is~ I hope you like dragons! Merry Christmas everyone!
