  1. Hi everyone, I know many of you are probably thinking I've been a hard-ass lately, and I want to apologize for appearing that way. What I won't apologize for is the reason it's happening. It's incredibly rude to have any individual image within a signature take up most of the length of one's window. I know you love your pictures, and I appreciate them too, but it's distracting, and it disrupts the flow of the boards. (It's less of a big deal in an actual post, because it's the focus of the post... and the forum shrinks it automatically) So I ask that you please look at the image you're linking before you click "update profile". As many know, you will get a message if I see large images. I know I'm not the only one who keeps her monitor at factory-set screen resolution. Thank you.

  2. does anyone agree with me ?? :?: everyone (almost everywhere) always talks about kaito kid being soo cool. I don't think he's that cool. He's too arrogant and sure of himself. I wish he would get caught at least once! It's not that i hate this character, but.......

  5. Then A must be the swindlecant B must be the honestant C must be the swindlecant A is swndlecant because his statement is false making him a swindlecant. B is honestant because he conclude that "Just one of us in an honest man" let's say that C is the honestant then B is also an honestant because he is also telling the truth so C should not be the honestant therefore if B is the only one who is honestant then C must be a swindlecant.

  8. It's great!!! Just one thing.. They look too serious.. Should be more like they're nervous, or something.. cuz it's a romantic time, and they're about to, uhm.. kiss, or something like that.. A-anyway!! It'd be kinda cute if Ran's face was facing downwards, but still looking at him while blushing.. And if Shinichi was more nervous, cuz he's kinda too serious... Something like that.. Sorry, it's maybe too hard to do all that..? óÒ

  10. "If I asked you, would you tell me that this door leads to freedom?" Assume that the door in question leads to Freedom. If the chosen Guard were an honestant, he would answer 'Yes'. If he were a Swindlecant, he would also answer 'Yes'. Logic being: The way the question was worded. If the Gringo had asked "Does this door lead to freedom?", the guard would either answer 'Yes' or 'No', but he would have no way of knowing if he was being truthful or not. Wording it as "If I asked you, would you tell me that this door leads to freedom?" keeps the truthful answer from an Honestant, but it trips up the Swindlecant. ---- Scenario 1, in which no conclusion is given; Assume that the chosen Guard is a Swindlecant, since we know that the Honestant answer would be correct in either case. Gringo: "Does this door lead to freedom?" (Liar)Guard: No. This doesn't work out well, because you are left with doubt and are still unable to determine if he is truthful or not, setting Gringo back to square one with no more options. ---- ---- Scenario 2, in which the answer is revealed: Gringo: "If I asked you, would you tell me that this door leads to freedom?" (Liar)Guard: Yes. This changes his answer completely- exploiting the fact that he always lies and using it to your advantage. If the Gringo had asked him "Does this door lead to freedom?", as shown in Scenario 1, the Swindlecant Guard would have said 'No.' So phrasing it "If I asked you," forces the Swindlecant to answer truthfully in a roundabout way. No, he would not have told him that the door led to freedom... so he would have to answer 'Yes', that he would have- getting tripped up in his own lie. If the questioned guard was an Honestant, the answer would be the same, because Yes, he would tell the truth if asked. Therefor, you can deduce that the door behind the questioned Guard leads to freedom- Swindlecant or Honestant. ;D The same logic works the other way as well, if the door led to Death- in which case the Gringo would have gone through the other door if he wanted to live.

  11. My question would be "WHAT WOULD THE OTHER GUARD SAY IF I WILL ASK HIM WHERE THIS DOOR LEADS?" Let's assume that A door leads to freedom. If the guard in A door is an honestant then he would answer "THIS DOOR LEADS TO THE SCAFFOLD" If the guard in A door is a swindlecant then he would also asnwer "THIS DOOR LEADS TO THE SCAFFOLD" But if A door leads to scaffold then the honestant would answer "THIS DOOR LEADS TO FREEDOM" and if the guard is swindlecant he would answer "THIS DOOR LEADS TO FREEDOM" WHAT WOULD THE OTHER GUARD SAY IF I WILL ASK HIM WHERE THIS DOOR LEADS?

  12. I'm guessing...they're both Honestants? The first guy is an Honestant and must tell the truth in his statement, so he says "I am a Swindelcant or the other one is an Honestant", so technically he's telling the truth on the second part of the statement. That concludes with the fact that they're both Honestants.

  15. Hmm... the Bartimaeus series by Jonathan Stroud (at the moment I'm reading the prequel The Ring of Solomon). The characters and their development throughout the books... absolutely amazing...

  16. I wouldn't say it was a rip off. When I first watched it, I was completely confused. I didn't know why the BO was involved. I didn't know why Chianti and Korn shot out the tires of Takagi and Sato's car. I didn't know why Irish disguised himself as a police officer. I would have given up and said it was a terrible movie that made no sense whatsoever, but when I rewatched it and rewatched it again, I finally got it. Some lady (I forget her name, but she had a picture of herself hugging the Tropical Land mouse mascot) managed to get information about the BO on some computer chip. In order to get the chip back and silence the lady forever, they sent Irish to go undercover in the police force since she was a possible target in a serial killing. Takagi and Sato were sent to protect her, but Irish called Gin telling him of their plans. Gin then calls Chianti and Korn to delay the two police officers. The two snipers shoot out the front tires, delaying them enough so that Gin and Vodka could get to the lady's house. But she was already kidnapped and taken away, the chip nowhere to be found. Irish continues undercover in hopes of getting his hands on the chip which the killer had taken from the lady (the killer takes one item from each person he killed). Then, while on the top of Tokyo Tower, Irish manages to knock out the killer and his brother, getting his hand on the computer chip. Meanwhile, Irish had managed to figure out Conan's true identity. He was planning on returning Conan to the Boss to get Gin in trouble. But Ran gets in the way, and a battle starts. Ran is knocked out, and Irish and Conan take the battle outside. Irish had previously called Gin for backup. Little did he know that Gin was planning on killing him from the start. Gin, Vodka, Chianti and Korn arrive on an Apache helicopter. After Gin makes sure Irish really has the chip, Gin orders Chianti to shoot Irish. The chip tumbles out of Irish's hands and off the Tokyo Tower, lost forever. Irish later dies, but not before Gin realizes that another person viewed the whole transaction. That person was Conan. Gin and Vodka try to shoot Conan out, but Conan outsmarts them and flings a light fixture at the Apache, and Conan escapes. I don't know about you guys, but this movie really wasn't that bad. The murders were a bit stupid, but the BO's involvement (which a lot of people consider random) really wasn't. I think most people's mistake is watching the movie too quickly without fully understanding it all. I thought that this movie tied in great, and is my favorite. I don't think it's bad at all.
