Case

Situation

It started when Kogoro started training to become a bodyguard, but suddenly fail. He wants one more time to become a cop or detective.

Attempted Murder (Past)
	Victim: Ryo Haneki Suspects: Reina Sawazaki, Kazuya Kusumoto, Hideo Isogawa, Kenzo Kushizaki, Chisato Arimura, and Arimasa Dobashi She was targeted by someone.

At the past, someone is trying to kill Haneki Ryo. Haneki hired Kogoro to become a bodyguard to protect her, and using his detective skills to determine who's trying to kill her. And there's his manager namely Kusumoto Kazuya.

They arrive at Lake Nakajima where they are started filming. And also resting at Auberge Muto. The two couples namely Muto Shohei and Muto Kimie. Reina Sawazaki is famous for being a troublemaker, and started fights at work.

They heard Reina shouting, it was beacuse she was allergic to cats that was found on her room. Their next filming will be at Lake Nakajima.

Kazuya Kusumoto was trying to kill Haneki Ryo, but fail. The motive was entirely about the transfer, Kusumoto wanted to work on the set, but she asked the higher ups to give him a desk job. And saying this was the only attempt he made, because there are plenty who resent Haneki Ryo.

At second, they started to film at Lake Nakajima, he said that there will be mist coming from the mountains, and it was so strong, and Kogoro cannot see the package. And they heard like a motor running on the water, and they arrived on a small island.

But, suddenly they found Reina at the ground, and they heard a gunfire, aiming at Haneki Ryo. Just like Kusumoto said, there are plenty who want to resent Haneki Ryo, but who is the culprit?

The culprit is Arimasa Dobashi. While 'disinfecting' the area, he had had plenty of time to study the special climatic peculiarities of the lake valley, including the directions the wind would take, and its property to send any lost boaters drifting towards the island. After showing himself to Ran and Conan at the lake's edge when the fog hit the area, he used a motorboat he had prepared beforehand to get to the island and prepare his ambush.

Dobashi's aim was to kill Ryo Haneki as his primary target, and Reina Sawazaki and Kogoro to make it look like an escalation of the two actresses' rivalry. His motive is that one month ago his daugther attempted to audition for a role in the drama and was denied by the jury, of which Haneki was a member; out of desparation she had tried to kill herself the next day. However, the judge who cut her from the role was not Haneki, who had been sick on that day, but Sawazaki, who had taken Haneki's place in the panel of judges. Reina had learned about Miss Dobashi's suicide attempt and visited her in the hospital, something Dobashi had missed in his single-minded lust for revenge.

The story ends with the news that Ryo Haneki quits acting before her agency can fire her, and establishes her own production agency, with Sawazaki being one of her primary actresses. It is also revealed that Kogoro's ultimate motive for his training was to become a bodyguard for Yoko Okino.
