Masakazu Yamazaki (山崎 正和 Yamazaki Masakazu?) is a Japanese animator. He does key animation, animation director, assistant animation director, and design works in Detective Conan anime and movies. He was formerly affiliated with Studio Wanpack, and became a freelance animator when the studio got disbanded.

Works in Detective Conan

Yamazaki's first involvement in the Detective Conan anime was in 2004, starting with the 1st part of Love, Ghosts, and World Heritage. In 2009, he began to serve as a regualr key animator and animation director for Studio Wanpack. He also did the episode director work regularly starting with the 1st part of The Revolving Sushi Mystery, and stepped down after he did episode director for The Devil Hidden in the Tennis Court and only did some key animation works for the studio irregularly afterwards.

From the 1st part of The Jet-Black Mystery Train onwards, Yamazaki participated the Detective Conan anime production under the name of a freelance animator solely.
