Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys all revisit the exact same pier many years later, in the episode The Disappearing Fish at Ikkaku Rock. According to Conan, after recovering, the vicitim, Eijri Futoshi, became "as energetic as ever."[1] He becomes friends with Agasa and the Detective Boys, due to all of them helping to save his life in the case.[1] He even volunteers to watch over Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys and help them in fishing, while Agasa runs an important errand, in a future episode.[1] Also, the fisherman who drove the boat that helped take Futoshi to the hospital, also appears again, where he helps Conan, Subaru Okiya, and the Detective Boys solve a murder case.[1]
