Appearance

Appearance

The man is bald on the top of his head, but still has a lot of hair on the back of his head that sticks up on the sides. He has bushy eyebrows, a large drooping mustache and a long goatee. Overall, his stature appears rather short. In the bedroom in his first appearance he wears a loose housecoat and Japanese slippers. During his "call" to Furuya in the train, he wears a dark fur jacket and a high-collared top that covers his neck.

He seems to have a fondness for birds. He keeps a falcon as a pet, has a large walking stick with a handle shaped like a falcon's head, and in his first appearance sits in a chair whose backrest has a weave pattern that resembles the plumage of a falcon.

Plot overview

Kaitou Kid and the Siren Splash (Manga: 1102)

At the end of the case, he is seen with a hawk on his shoulder, watching the news of Conan defeating Kaito Kid. In anger, he smashes his phone using his cane.

Murder on the Shinkansen (Manga: 1115)

At the end of file, he orders Rei Furuya to investigate Conan thoroughly while sitting in a nearby train.

Relationships analysis

Rei Furuya

The relation between the old man and Rei Furuya is currently unknown, but he can give orders to him, which hints a superior-subordinate relation.

Conan Edogawa

From his reaction watching the news of Conan defeating Kaitou Kid, it can be deduced that he has some anger or resentment towards the former, but it is unknown what the cause of this resentment can be.
